Default Blue Team 2012 Spring Into Summer CHAT Thread Week 13 (07/16-07/29)

Hi everyone, just though I would put up a new chat thread for us.

I've been on the road for 2 days now and am very scared for my WI when I get back
I was good today though after eating at the hotel breakfast (to much I'm sure) I went and did and hour of cardio in the gym.....my workout close is still damp now I lost so much water in there

Had supper at a friends and snacking on carrots and hummus now.

Have a good night talk to you later.

Congratulations EofAZ, tkkoz, and retiredone grat job on being BL this week.

Well went to my condo today and worked at cleaning it all up again. The realtor said there was someone interested but not sure if they will make an offer or not. It been empty for two years and it getting tougher paying two mortgages for that long. So hopefully it sells soon.

Then after that went to the States to don some shopping and just got back to the hotel now. So the gym is closed and no workout for today.....worst of all went to Old Country Buffet for supper, had about a half and half mix of good and bad......so need to do double workouts from now until Sunday for final WI

Hope your all doing good.

Man I was hoping I would end this challenge with a big achievement but it looks like I may be just lucky to break even. Every evening I get the munchies. I'm not eating off plan, just on the high end of my plan and I usually try to keep it on the low side. Oh well, even if I don't have a grand finally at the last WI over all I’ve made some great progress so I’m really glad I’ve participated in this for the whole challenge and am looking forward to the next one. I think this is the first challenge I’ve ever been able to complete and I’m feeling grrrreat for making. A big thanks to Leslie, Bigmid and CanadaMel for organizing this for us.

Bigmid, I can so relate to the double mortgages. We moved to TX in 2009 and still have our house in Tucson. The problem is that my daughter and her husband are supposed to be renting it but they both lost their jobs and have been on and off getting temp jobs trying to make ends meet. Needless to say, I can’t sell it, I’m not getting rent and it is a struggle. Fortunately my daughter has decided to go back to school to become a surgical Tech (she is an electrician right now) and hopefully that will provide them some stability in the job market. However, she doesn’t complete her schooling for another year; meanwhile we keep up with the two mortgages. I sure hope she remembers this when I am old and gray and need to be cared for. Actually my DH is so homesick that I suspect we will end up back in AZ after we retire, this could end up being a blessing in disguise if we end up moving back in a few years.

Have a good afternoon.

Hi Blue Team. I'm back after a week of vacation/family visiting. I haven't stepped on the scale yet as I wouldn't dream of doing that in the afternoon or evening, lol. I'll have a peek tomorrow morning to see if there is any damage. I must say I was very careful and tracked my calories as best I could without internet most of the time. I just punched everything into fitday for the days I was gone and I was very close in my calculations.

I just signed up for the next challenge starting in September and can't wait to start again.

Thanks for starting this new thread Bigmid and congratulations on being the BL for last week.

Welcome back Retiredone, hope you had a really great time. This has been a slow moving week for me, I seem to be maintaining very nicely but that just isn't what I had in mind. Hope on Saturday (my weighin day) I come up with something new to report.

Hi, well the bad news is I gained 4lbs in 4 days......who does that. I'm hoping some is water weight and that I can be back down for Sunday....but 4lbs. We'll see I guess.

EofAZ I'm in the same boat I keep wondering if I should hang onto it now as my job has been changing a lot and if anything happens then it's my fall back as thE mortgage on that one is low enough I could have a different job and still live there comfortably.....that is if I could sell this one. Could not do both anymore if I don't have my current job. Best of luck with it no matter who ends up living there....you or your daughter. I'm sure she will remember what you are doing for her. I hope she enjoys school, I would have thought an electrician would have always had work though.

retiredone I'm sure your WI will be great, glad you had a good time and were so on plan....great job.

Well off to do some errands hope you all have a great day

Hi just checking in and hoping everyone is doing great.

Well we only have 2 days left of this challange, have you made you goal even if you didn't make your target you stuck with the challange and that's an awesome accomplishment. Life seems to keep happening around us so way to hang in there.

I lost 1.8 this morning so I'm hoping the other 2.2 come off quickly so I can at least be the same on Sunday.....even less if I can. Would be nice to finish this one out lower. I did a 1.5 hr treadmill workout yesterday and did a 40 min on today and have been drinking lots of water so I hope I will be successful.

Well it's after midnight and going to turn into a pumpkin soon so I will say goodnight to you all.

Don't forget to sign up for the next challange.

Bigmid, my only Goal was to complete the challenge and I succeeded. I didn't have a weight loss goal so looking from where I started I am very happy with my results. I am really looking forward to the fall challenge and hoping I can do as well then too.

Hi Blue Team. Well, tomorrow is the last day. Looking back it doesn't seem so long. One of my goals was never to have a gain and I succeeded. I had several weeks where I stayed the same but I didn't gain. I also wanted to lose at least an average of 1 pound a week and I accomplished that so I'm well pleased about that.

I guess there will some kind of chat going on during the interim between the end of this challenge and the beginning of the next one. I was hoping we'd also have an exercise and nutrition thread as well. Those really keep me accountable. Just seeing it in print helps me.

And like Evangeline, I wanted to complete the challenge. So I'm pleased that I'm in the group that finished. You've all been great.

CONGRATULATIONS: EofAZ, retiredone and Tkkoz for being this weeks biggest losers

CONGRATULATIONS to EofAZ, ak812, and retiredone for being the biggest losers in our challenge....great job everyone.

EofAZ: you did a great job this challenge that was a very good loss and I'm sure you will do just as great in the next one.

retiredone: you did great as well and never posting a gain is an awesome accomplishment. There is a between challenge chat going on. I will see about posting a nutrition and exercise thread as well

Tkkoz: great finish and good job on staying through all the weeks. We get down to just a handful at the end so great job sticking to it. I hope your book arrives soon and that you are able to gain some insight to your allergies. Thanks I was actually still up .4 but I know that would have been water from yesterday's workout....not bad losing 4lbs in 3 days

Good night everyone and enjoy your few free weeks from challenge....don't forget to come back though.
