  • Mel, just saw your comments on my weigh in post, sorry for my lateness! Thank you for allowing us freebies in the first place. Guess I'm gonna have to work extra hard to get that xmas weight off so that I'm back at my 216 starting weight love a mini challenge!
  • Almost weekly weigh-in time! I need to get on the stick with exercise - too busy with life this week. Only walked at lunch yesterday and 20 minutes this morning so far. Looking forward to watch BL tomorrow while I'm on the treadmill!
  • Am weighing in tomorrow with a def loss and will be posting it in the correct thread this time.

Hope everyone is kicking buttttt. The Blue Team won last week . . let's make this week ours!
  • Hello Red Team,
As week 2 winds down, pat yourself on the back as this is one of the tougher weeks to get through. (in my mind)
I struggled this week with mindful eating, stress eating anything to do with eating!

I'm still drinking all my water, so that's a positive, need to get moving more.

I'm contemplating trying to run a half marathon at the end of May, but to do it properly I should be in week 4 of training- hmmm.

I've read most of the book wheat belly and my quick review is, yes I should cut some bread out of my diet, but not completel, because 1- I don't have issues with gluten and 2- what he ends up recommending, is to go gluten free & very low carb- um, no thanks.

So remember to post your weigh ins and I'll try to be back for personals after I get back from my son's soccer game. GO RED!!
  • Mel, I agree wholeheartedly that this is a tough week. My worst week yet (since June)!! What is it? I've gained almost every day.

Well, the 2.2 lbs I gained overnight was a real wake up call. I have got to get back on the exercise wagon. WITHOUT FAIL. I fell down on the ice and really hurt my back/tailbone a couple weeks ago. So, I've been skipping any kind of workout as just moving sometimes hurts.

I know it's almost the end of the week, but I'll jump on over to the exercise thread and post there. Hopefully, some sort of accountability will keep me on track.
  • HI Red Team
I'm down 2 lbs this week but have been eating like crazy the last 2 days and I need to get back on track. I got new running shoes today, I'm wearing them in the house before taking them to the gym and they feel great on. I spent more than I planned on, but they are so comfortable and will give me a lot of support. I also went to Bath and Body works, I had a gift certificat, and a coupon plus they had some stuff on sale that they almost never have on sale so I ended up spending $17 for around $80 worth of stuff. I think I won't have to get anymore till next fall.
I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend
    Bette K
  • Hi Team!
Good luck tomorrow with weigh ins!

Thanks Canuck (sp) for the tip on the water-headache connection. That may explain mine. I'm forcing more and more down. It's a habit I broke over winter break, much like exercise and eating plants but I'm working everything back in slowly but surely.

Congratulations to everyone that's lost weight so far. Let's all KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!
  • Hi red team!

Space cadet red team leader checking in with a reminder to post your weight for week 2 by 6:00 pm central on the Weigh in thread.
    Thanks!

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. Trying to stay warm here in Calgary as winter has officially arrived. Meanwhile watching the green bay game- go Packers!
  • Hope everyone got their weights in! Way to go Red Team!
  • Bummin' at the Packer's loss =(
  • Zogo- I'm with you. What a disappointing loss. Not the same Packer's team that was playing the regular season.

I've started the week 3 chat thread here
