Congratulations Beck, sandlll,LauraG, and NancyO!!!

Quilly'sQuest - I joined WW and havent looked back. It isnt cheap, but it has given me the tools to lose weight and stay committed. You could learn what you need to learn in the first month of being on program, but attending the meetings weekly is helping me stay committed and helping me when I have bad weeks. I understand my body better and I am eating regular food.

I weigh in for this week in about an hour... I dont know if I am going to have a loss this week. I am having a constipation issue... I feel bloated. It has been days! I have taken something to help but it hasnt fixed the problem. My stomach has been spasming all day. I didnt take the recommended adult dosage cause I was going to work, so I just took the child dosage... Wondering aloud - "Should I take the adult dosage tonight if there is no movement?" Will I be okay to go to work tomorrow if I do?" ARGHHHH!!!

Congrats Beck, sandlll, LauraG and Nancy!! Great job this week!

Mumtoliam - I am really hoping that I'll be able to utilize the whole ww program. It's been a long time since I tried a full program like this, but Somni along with a bunch of other people I can see around the boards seem to be making progress with it, so I think it's definitely worth a shot!

Btw, this might seem bit unorthodox, but when I have problems with constipation, one of the things that always works well for me is to use an ayurvedic approach. What I do is I heat up some water to just hot enough to be able to drink it normally, without having to sip and blow on it, and them mix salt into the water with a ratio of 2 tsp salt to 1 liter of water. Then, drink a full glass of it, all at once. No reason to rush the drinking, just drink the whole glass at the same time, no sipping or letting it stand for a while between drinking. I usually only need one glass of this, but sometimes it takes two. Afterwards, it can also help to do some very gentle side twists to guide the saline water down through your system.

This might be something you can try on your own the night before, so you won't have to worry about medication kicking in while you're at work. Good luck with it!

Congratulations sandlll,LauraG, and NancyO - and to the rest of the team for their losses this week!

I was really surprised by my loss this week, pleasantly so, but the only thing that was different this week from all the others since restarting was that I had a religious fast day on Tuesday. I wonder if that was the reason for the bigger loss this week :scratching head:

I went rollerblading yesterday with dh. It was only the second time I ever got on (tried several years ago, never got the hang of it, fell too often...,) and I succeeded in going 8 times around the track (2 miles) without falling at all. I went slowly but still worked up a sweat. My butt is feeling it this morning, so I guess my muscles got a workout despite going slowly. I'm going to go again tonight and hope to be able to incorporate skating into my regular exercise plan.

MumtoLiam- we have something in the US called Activia- it's a type of yogurt that helps with regulation. I've had some similar issues as you and I gave it a try; it's really helped. Do you have something similar in Australia that you could try? Also, hot coffee has helped me when my system is feeling sluggish. I hope you find some relief!

Have a great week, everyone!

Congratulations to: sandlll, LauraG, NancyO, - awesome job

This week I am hoping start losing instead of gaining. I've got my exercise rotation for the week all set up and I've stocked up on lots of healthy food. I am also tracking my food everyday, no excuses!

Beck - rollerblading sounds like fun!

QuillysQuest - good luck with WW

Momtoliam- Sorry I don't have any advice, but I hope you are feeling better soon.

Let's have a great week everyone

Hi everyone,

Well I hope you all had a great day, mine was pretty crazy. First day back since my week vacation and let me tell you it was something. Still not caught up yet.

CONGRATULATIONS ON WINNING WEEK 8

mumtoliam - WW is a great program but your right it is very expensive. I follow the progam on my own and do very well with it (well when I actually eat right) Back to it today so hope to see a loss on Sunday. As for the other all bran buds work great too. I like them on their own, topping my salad, in yogurt (for some crunch), on a baked potatoe......the list goes on and they are 100% natural, usually does the trick by night or next morning. good luck feel better

QuillysQuest - I hope you enjoy WW if you sign up, it is good and if you can be dedicate you can do it on your own after a few weeks of getting to know the program. But you really need to be accountable. If not then the meetings are a great way to stay focused on the end target.

Beck - you have been on fire with this weigh loss challenge Rollerblading is so much fun. I haven't done it now in a few years but it is super fun. I fall backwards alot. If there were a track to go on here I think I would try it again too, but all our paths have to many hills and I don't know how to stop It is a great workout no matter how fast or slow you go.

Narnia - WOW talk about being prepared for the week. I play it by ear everyday. I guess I should actually plan out my workouts instead of just picking one everynight. I always say do I don't I and then pick one from there. Planning seems better. Great job on stocking up the healthy food items too.

Peanutt - Thanks for stopping by to say congrats. You too have done amazing this challenge.....keep it up your doing great.

Well that's it for now, I may be late posting tomorrow as Nancy and I are giving blood after work, I'll have to plan my cookies into the calories for tomorrow

I just tried one of the new Fiber One brownies (chocolate peanut butter), and it was tasty. It has only 90 calories and 20% of daily dietary fiber.

NSV to share: I signed myself up for sailing classes! My boys and husband have been sailing the past few years, and I've always wanted to join them. I was always self-conscious of my heavier weight, especially when I contemplated getting onto a tiny Sunfish, but now I have more confidence and every reason in the world to not hold back on doing the things I want to do. I'm so excited!

Good evening, I hope everyone had a good day

I found out today that I am going back to school in September. I thought I wouldn't be offered a seat in the program until next year so I was pretty surprised. So now I have extra motivation to stick to my plan. I am hoping to lose around 10 -12 pounds by the time I start and hopefully I will be at my goal or at least really close by the time I finish.
I know I have to be more active outside of my workouts so today I took my children to the soccer field and played for about an hour, and then tonight the whole family went for a 40 minute walk. I am going to try to go for a walk everynight after dinner while the weather is still nice.

Bigmid - Thanks I like Bran Buds a lot too. They are really handy to add to so many foods. Like you, I love the crunch they add to yogurt!

Beck - Those Fiber One brownies sound yummy! That's awesome that you signed up for sailing classes, good for you!

I'm posting my weight tonight just in case I miss Sunday. Going on vacation and I don't know if I'll have access to internet or a scale. Nothing to contribute, team, sorry. Not a huge surprise since we're not too far into the week. I'll come back in and update it closer to Sunday if I can. Good luck this week!

I need to exercise! I need to exercise!!!! About to remove butt from behind the computer and get active! Catch up with you all later!
