Just wanted to pop in and say Hi to everyone.:
Today was the first day to try calorie counting, it may take awhile to get the hang of it but so far I'm on track and not feeling starved.:^:
The dog and I went for a long walk:running: after work tonight and that felt good for both if us. Now for a little supper and some more exercising:exercise:
and the final of the Biggest Loser.

Talk to you again! BlueEyes

I got the job! Woohoo! Life is good.

Tammies00- We will be doing a different version of the last chance workout this time around. It will be a combined teams weekly challenge.

I have to get ready for work, but I'll come back later today to do personals. Glad everyone is doing well.

Hi all- it's great to see so many faces both new & old for the summer challenge!

Tammies00- I had read about the 200 sit-up challenge on some other weight loss sites. It's a 6 week program that gives you an outline to follow to build up to 200 sit-ups in groups of 25-30 sit-ups per rep. Just google it and you'll find the respective site. I just finished the first week!

Shan- yay on the job! Congrats!! Will you be teaching the same age group?

Mindy- good to see you. Slowly but surely the scale moves down. Sometimes I wish it would move faster, but I guess it's more important that it stays off! You can do it!

MonteCristo 05-26-2010 10:03 AM

I lost 1lb already! Even though I ate double my calories two days, and TOM just arrived. If I stick to the plan this week I'm hoping for another 2!! :D

shan84 05-26-2010 05:50 PM

Monte- Congrats on the loss!

Mel- I will be teaching the ladybirds class which is 3-4 year olds. They are so darn cute. My education and teaching background is actually for middle school and high school, but my work experience has involved all ages. So I'm exciting for this new challenge.

Hello everyone. Well, I am back in motion at the gym this week. I didn't realize all the progress I had been making before I stopped going last time because of the knee and pneamonia. It was really hard to keep up with the trainer yesterday. But its ok. I'm working on it. I have some tough decisions to make regarding work and my schedule for this next month. Trying to make everything work so that I can have a good balance for my last month here and still be able to have fun and enjoy life. I'll let you know how it goes.

My question for the day: What is everyone's goal for this challenge? It doesn't have to be a specific weight loss number either so keep that in mind. :)

For me it would be to have a BMI of under 40 (which happens at around 240 so 33 lbs lost)

To stay consistent- meaning staying OP & exercising as much as possible.

2phat- I needed to save the image to my computer, convert it to a jpeg and then when you go to edit your signature, you need to add it as a signature image- I uploaded the image I had saved and then click the insert it into your signature.

Or just paste the following code into your signature:
Hope that helps!

Hi Red Team
My question for the day: What is everyone's goal for this challenge? It doesn't have to be a specific weight loss number either so keep that in mind

My goal is to get back on track in my quest to get healthy and lose weight. I've gotten so far off track lately and a lot of things I worked very hard at accomplishing have been undone. I want to quit drinking pop again and get back on track on my eating.

I have a job interview tomorrow so could you all send good thoughts my way.
Everyone have a great week.
Bette K

thanks:):):) im super excited for this my bf will be at sea.. for this challenge.. so i hope to achieve great things:)

Fitin10 05-27-2010 10:20 AM

Shan congrats on the new job. My son is that age and they are so fun.

BetteK - Good luck on the interview!

My goals for this challenge is to crack into the top of my "healthy" weight range, which is 154, and finally loose my pockets of fat which sit on my back where the bra hits. They are so anonoying and I would love to say goodbye to them once and for all!!!!!

MonteCristo 05-27-2010 12:17 PM

My weight goal is to get down to 162 (16lb loss) by the end of the challenge. My exercise goal is a minimum of 3000 calories burned (about 5-6 hours) per week.
