Thank y'all for the well wishes for my dad. So far it seems the docs are trying alot of things to help him. Hope something works. He is being receptive at least so that's good.

I'm staying the same. But happy to maintain another week instead of gain! lol. I'm so anxious to hear whether or not we'll get to adopt the baby boys that I just am always on edge. I can't stand waiting. Been waiting since July. How long should we have to wait? It's just not right. There is no one else wanting to adopt them at this time. We are approved already to adopt. We have done everything they ask. It's so frustrating. I want to eat myself into oblivion because food is my drug of choice. Even not being able to taste I notice I still WANT to gorge and be too full and have that take my mind off things. So depressing. I guess I'm stuck waiting tho. Nothing else I can do.

Will try to come back later.

Wow, I can only imagine the anxiety. I really have good feelings that you'll hear something soon. I'll keep you in my thoughts!

Hey everyone! Was POP yesterday and have been doing good all week. I think February is gonna be a good one!

Off to do an aerobics DVD now, to change things up a bit, as all my workouts so far have been running, stepping or free weights.

Good morning ladies!!

I just wanted to say thanks again for letting me vent about all my 'stuff' lately. I know this isn't a vent post but a weight loss group. I just seem to have major stuff happening and it sucks. But I'm happy to say this group is helping me maintain or lose a little when usually in these times I'd be gaining. So yay!!!! Thank you all so much for the awesome support you give me and everyone else here. We do have a great group and I'm so proud to be a part of it with you all.

I am excited about this challenge. I hope to at least get to the 180s, which hasn't happened to me since 1996. That's a long time to be about 230-270. I feel alot better at 199 so I can only imagine less than this. I know I can do it and I know you all can reach your goals too. I've been at 3fc long enough to see people who started with me reach goal and I kept yo-yoing. It's so nice to see them do it because it gives me hope that it can be done.

Dr. Oz is having Carnie Wilson on the show. Try to watch. Saw a clip, she is 218 now and has a 41 inch waist. He is telling her some cold, hard facts and said he isn't going to treat her like a celebrity.

I'm 199 and a 39.5 in waist. My hips are my problem and thighs. I always wonder how my body compares in inches. I say let's be brutally honest here and post our measurements. And do the same at the end of the challenge. I do mine once a week anyway. Here is what mine were yesterday.

Chest (I measure right under my boobs, not that there is much of a diff! I'm about boob-less. ) 38.5

Waist 39.5
Hips 49.5
Thigh 20
Bicep 11.5
Calf 15.5
Neck 13.5
Wrist 6.25

So break out your measuring tapes and let's share all our naked truths!

It's a great record of your loss that's not in the dreaded poundssss!!!

Ok, you don't hafta do this. I just like to measure. I think I even remember my largest ones. Let me think.. here is what I believe they were around 270...

Chest 48
Waist 49
Hips 61
Thigh 25
Bicep 15
Calf 17
Nk 14.5
Wrist 7

So as you can see, it's a nice reminder of what used to be.

Ok, hugs, gotta run, but be back laterrrr!!!!

Oh my, lost my post. Did something stupid and not the computer's fault at all. Selina here are my stats:

Chest 40 (across bust) 34 (under bust)
Waist 37
Hips 40
Thigh 19.5
Bicep 10 (10.5 when flexed)
Calf 14 for one and 14.5 for the other
Neck 12
Wrist 6

Hahahaha, I'm like a marshmallow with toothpicks for legs and arms. Yes, February is going to be a good month. What plans are you all making for Valentine's Day? We should all have a plan in place or there just might be a great chocolate massacre on Valentine's Day. I'm planning on making individual chocolate molten cakes in heart shaped pans. DS and DIL will be here and they'll help eat them up. I hope I can get nice fresh strawberries to serve with them. The cake is from a mix I've had forever so I decided this would be a good time to use it and get it gone. We can have a nice treat on VD if we plan it out. Anyhoo, a wave to everyone. Keep up the good work and we'll have another win this week.

Hey girls!

Wow! It has been busy here! I am going to have to do the measurements tonight as they dont dig naked people in their offices here at work

Day 5 no smoking for me. Just finished Week 2 of my 3rd go at Bootcamp (6weeks sessions). Finding my scaling move down, even though I am still above my last weigh in. My goal is more 11bs by Wed 3/3/10. I think I can pull it off with a little will power and exercise!

Selina - ugh! Get them boys home already! I am praying for ya. This has been grueling!

Bidmid - Big check in here! Just turned down mexican restaurant breakfast invite. Opted for my egg whites and ezekial bread toast. Looking forward to my Kashi cereal, turkey bacon and coffee for snack! How's your menu looking for the day?

Okay chicks, off to the races. Payroll is due, meeting in 3 hours, and then a 3 day weekend. Bring on 4pm!

I haven't measured myself in 4 years. I think it would be too depressing. I once went from 194 pounds down to 165 pounds and my waist went from 40" to 35", hips from 45" to 40", so I have a rough idea of what I am at the moment.

I figure with all the exercise I'm doing, when I get to goal I will be even more surprised with my measurements. fingers crossed!

Looking forward to this week's weigh in

Hi to everyone, I was on yesterday but I guess I forgot to post
I'm at work and keep having to go out on the floor so I won't be doing personals right now. But I did want to say hi and make sure that everyone is having a good day. It's good TV night tonight too so I may not make it back on I have been good and exercised everyday and been staying OP. I have read all the posts so far and I wish that those of you going through struggles in your life did not have to do so. I hope things resolve themselves for you and soon. Congratulations to all of you who are staying OP and doing great.

Nixmom - accountability check - I am here I was just forgetful. WTG on the 5 days smoke free and the bootcamp. It's so nice to see losses on the scale. Good for you for turning down breakfast. Yours sounds good though. I had a mini bagel and bananna for breakfast, tuna sandwhich and salad for lunch and supper will be a suprise.

I will post my measurements for all to see later

Enjoy the rest of the day

Nixmom - Well done on the smoke free days! I love hearing about people giving up smoking. Good luck!

I just had a big long rant here but it's actually made me feel better. I don't want to bring you guys down with me so I'm getting rid of my overly self-indulgent bits.

Basically, I have to accept that this is going to be a slow process because I've been a greedy sod for the last 23 years. So if it takes a year to lose this weight so be it. I have to stay focussed and not be so shallow and narrow-minded.

Right, back to being focussed...
