Mandey, I got the BL Wii game for christmas, too! I am about to start one of the challenges, wish we could somehow link together and play against one another..that would be cool!

I can't wait for the exercise challenge, either! Bring it on!

ArmyWife02 01-03-2010 01:54 PM

I woke up late. lol so just had my breakfast. :) The kids are upstairs watching some of the new movies they got for Christmas...so I plan to work on the laundry while I try all the new workout stuff I got. Think I may try the Your Shape first, then the BL Wii game then the LCW dvd - since i figure the LCW dvd will kick my butt (the front says "Lose up to 30 pounds in 6 weeks" - so if that's true, maybe I can lose 15 in the 3 weeks I have left before Homecoming) :)
i'll let yall know how all that goes....if I can feel my body after all that, and not fall off my balance ball i use for my chair at the laptop ;) LOL

Hi Red Team and Happy New Year to everyone! I'm Suzanne and this is my third BL challenge (all with the fabulous RED team!) I currently live in Oregon, I'm an accountant, I love to read, knit, crochet, travel, go to a variety of festivals (often food-related) and I love to cook. Exercise....well, not so much...but I am working on that! One of the things I'm doing to force myself to exercise lately is taking my two very big dogs for walks. They are loving it! Am looking forward to losing more weight with all of you :)

ArmyWife02 01-03-2010 04:35 PM

just did my 5 minute fitness eval and a 15 minute cardio workout on Your Shape....OMG - my legs hurt! def a good workout. and the calorie counter is pretty accurate ;)
Now on to the BL Wii game. lol
I have a feeling I might not have the energy to try the BL LCW dvd till later tonight or in the morning....i'm tired and sore already. lol I can def tell I havent worked out in a while ;) ROFL

ArmyWife02 01-03-2010 05:44 PM

Is mad that I don't know my exact cal burn for my BL Wii workout....apparently part of teh way thru, I must have hit the button on my watch to turn it off :( So have to guess....I'm too tired to do it all over again to get another reading. lol will try to not turn it off during tomorrow's workout. LOL :) But I did 38 minutes total on BL Wii (warm up-workout-cool down) plus the 20 minutes on the Your Shape. So I'm impressed with myself for actually getting off my butt and doing some workouts :) I'm sore - so need to get back in the habit of working out ;) lol gonna fix dinner soon, while i finish laundry ;)

Today's NSV

Hey ladies. I posted this in another thread but want to share with you all as well:

Well I was ready to resume week 3 of C25K today and when I get to the YMCA, what do I see? "Cardio Center closed" Well that's annoying, but I'll just go to the fitness center at my apartment complex. I haven't been there since they renovated it can't wait to see it... oh, they changed the locks when they renovated it and I can't get in. What about that gym I work at down town? It's closed for the holiday break (University gym).

This left me with two options: 1- Not run (and hate myself for it), 2- Run outside... in 30 degree weather!!!

I don't do cold. I avoid so much as walking to my car in the cold. So you better believe I am damn proud of myself for running in the cold today. Since I'm not used to outdoor running I went back to week 2, and it was still pretty hard.

ArmyWife02 01-03-2010 05:51 PM

WTG Ashley! You are a better woman than I am....I don't do cold either. lol ;) Glad you got your run done and can feel especially great about it today :D

Tomorrow is the Day. Today I ate my last chocolate for at least 30 days, that's my first personal challenge. Tomorrow I'm starting Insanity. Will see how it goes, is a little bit hard, but I will do my best. I'm going to start running again to, but there's to much snow on the roads now. So it's hard enough just walking..
I've been thinking of my weight goals, don't want to go to hard. But I'll try to lose 6 pound until the last january. That's doable :) Good Luck everyone!

ArmyWife02 01-03-2010 06:29 PM

What is Insanity? is that a type of workout dvd??

tinabinab 01-03-2010 08:14 PM

Whew, the last week has gone by fast! I'm not glad to go back to work tomorrow, but glad to get back into a regular routine. I've managed to stay the course throughout the holidays - well for the most part. I had a few high-cal days, but never let up on my working out - in fact I added a couple new WATP videos and then the Wii business. ;)

I got up the nerve to go clothes shopping last week and ended up buying some size 14 pants. They are a tiny bit snug, but they have a little stretch and fit better than the same style in the 16's did. My last experience with clothes shopping (August!) ended in frustration and literal tears, so this was a switch. I wore my new outfit to a NYE party and really felt good about myself for a change. It's nice to know all this hard work and persistence is starting to show...

This week I am going to take advantage of all the fitness sales and pick up some new workout clothes and running shoes. My last pair of running shoes was bought in 2005. I think I am a little overdue. ;)

Happy New Year all! I hope everyone has a great Week 1!

Hi all! My name is Heather (another one=)), I'm 36 and live in CA. This is my first BL challenge, but have done others on the WW boards. I am married, have two kids, 6 and 4, and work as a middle school teacher.

I am super excited to have this accountability piece and am READY to lose some lbs! I have been really good about the exercise, but not so good with the eating, hence this 25 lb gain. Ugh. So, I'm ready and anxious to get them off!

Looking forward to the challenge and supporting one another. Go RED!

Yes, it's a workout video from Beach Body. I can't keep up in all the moves, but it gets me moving :)

Igetfit- Welcome back girl! You kicked so much butt last challenge and its good to have you back. I'm ready to get back on track with you. My goal for this challenge is going to be about 42lbs give or take more. Haha! Can't wait to do it with you.

Aclai- I love teaching here in South Korea and it has brought so many good things into my life. It has helped me learn to focus more on me and take time for my health. I also have gained an amazingly wonderful boyfriend, who is so supportive in my journey. Korea is my new home for a long time to come I think. Good luck with all your teaching stuff. If you ever want any information just shoot me a pm.

Antonia (monte)- Thank you for being such an awesome team leader. I knew when you took over last challenge that things were going to be so amazing! Ready to push it to the limit this challenge. Let's burn it!

EVERYONE: Hope everyone had a good start to the New Year. Today is my first day back on track with my diet and exercise. My goals for this challenge are big for me, but I know I can do it. It helps having my supportive bf. Really going to focus this challenge on doing more exercise to compliment the weight loss thru dieting. Monday-Friday hitting the gym after work everyday for one hour for cardio. I'm also going to through some weight training in twice a week. Also walking the mountain near my home to the next town at least 4 times a week. It sounds like a lot, but I can do it. As much of an organized person I am, I even made out my menu plans, and my time table for this next month to see how it goes. I know this is a long post, but I'm excited to get back into the swing of things. Let's go RED!!!!
