Hi there team-

I recently joined 3FC and this is my first BL challenge. A little about myself, I live in TN and I am a single mom of a wonderful 5 year old daughter. I work Friday-Sunday and I have the week off with my daughter. I have been overweight for the past 7 years but I just ended an unhealthy relationship and I am ready to start taking care of myself. I have a good support system with my family as my sister and I signed up for this challenge together and we are both on the red team!!! (btw she just lives 3 houses down from me so we are constantly together) Our mom is a Jenny Craig counselor so she provides support as well. I am going through this as a lifestyle change and not the dreaded D word that I can never seem to get past! I'm using the ol' it takes 21 days to make a habit so I'm breaking down my mini-goals to 21 days so I don't feel so much pressure and I can make lasting changes. I am so excited about this challenge and I just know 2010 is going to be my year. I look forward to the interaction and support provided by the RED TEAM. WE CAN DO THIS!!!

I weighed myself last night, and according to the scales (which I don't exactly depend on), I've last 4 pounds! :carrot:

I did this to break some of my habits when I was starting out (fast food, candy, fried food, pizza); it worked very well for me!

Hi Ashley-

I was reading your blog and it looks like we have some things in common. I have faced some of the same struggles you have, I used to live in Norcross and I moved to mid TN a few years ago. I love it up here! I am going to start a 3FC blog, it seems like it could be very theraputic.

Happy New Year Red Team!!
Today is a day for new beginings but I just wanted to tell everyone about what changes the last year has brought. It has been a year since I had any pop, and this is from someone who would dring 40 or more ounces per day. DH had to quit pop this year too and we were figuring that we may have saved close to $1000 on pop alone this year. I have lost a total of 28.5 inches this year also. I measure in 7 places and have lost an average of 5 inches off of my torso area!!! I have lost arount 27 lbs and that takes into account the 7 lbs I gained back in the last 5 weeks. I am in such a better placde than I was last year, and I am going to do better this year also.

Here are my goals for 2010:
1. Make exercise and extra movements a habit.
2. Journal my food daily.
3. Lose weight and inches to become healthier.
4. Become more organized.

It's great to se so many people back for this challenge ans to see so many new people too. It's a great help to come and see everyone.

Heather, What part of Iowa are you in, I'm east central, maybe we can get together some time.

hello all,

This is my first BLC and I am very excited to be a part of this with you. I am married with 2 boys, 10 and 3. I have a very bad habit of not eating or drinking anything until dinner and then usually nothing after that. My husband thinks that is the reason for my weight gain (going into starvation mode) I don't know if this is true or not, but I am going to try really hard to eat more food and drink more water throughout the day. I also plan on exercising with my wii fitness coach, and start with some weights. I am so happy I found this site. It has so much information and support, that I really think that this will be the year that I shed this extra person I have been carrying around.

Hey all, Happy New Year! I'm Crystal and I'm super excited for this challenge, I definitely need a kick start after the holidays. I'm a 25 year old college student studying Philosophy, graduating in May actually.

I've been obese my entire life and honestly just thought that was the way it is because nothing worked to change it. I found out I have PCOS and am on treatment so now losing is possible, though slow. I am a calorie counter and workout at the gym on campus when school is in session, but since we are on break til the end of the month I will be doing my best with workout videos.

I look forward to getting to know all of you.

My name is Kirsten and I live in Cleveland, Ohio. I'm engaged to Doug and he has 2 kids, ages 10 and 7 that are with us every other weekend.
I am calorie counting and using a Go Wear Fit to track calorie expenditure.
I have a dog named Rufus ( see avatar pic) and 3 cats.
I love to play poker, kayak, read, travel, and cook.

Good luck to everybody on the RED team!

Hello to the Red Team! We are going to do great!

My name is Gina. I'm 25 years old and this is my first time doing the BLC. I lost 30lbs last years but then gained it all back plus and extra 20lbs. So I am here to lose it for good!

I am a web/graphic designer and also enjoy blogging, knitting, and photography. I also took up running last year and will be running my third half marathon next weekend in Disney!

I count my calories, exercise a few times a week, but am horrible at strength training. So I hope to increase that during this challenge. :D
