Hello Chickies!!!! Last week!!! Last Chance!!!! Let's rock this last week!!!

I got TBL new Last Chance Workout DVD. Did it on Friday, still sore today, lol. I struggled with it too, so that means I've not been exercising for far too long. Now that most of the soreness is gone, time to do it again!! My plan is to get in at least a 20 min workout every day this week if it kills me!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Institches21 12-07-2009 01:06 PM

Soon2BFitChick 12-07-2009 04:04 PM

Well I'm at 205.5 now. Dropping real fast, I added a little exercise in and only eating veggies, fruits, milk, bread etc. Strange but that's all I want. Can't taste so why not have only healthy stuff for my body? :)

I like that new stuff is being added to the challenge, Angela!! Smart, we need a revamp!! :cp:

Well, gotta go get work done, hugs to each of you,
Selina

Cape Breton Chick 12-07-2009 10:10 PM

maryshady 12-08-2009 07:39 AM

Morning Ladies

Had a good day yesterday. Need to get my butt in gear and start working out again. Will try a walk on treadmill tonite will watching the finale. That show should give me some motivation. Just read the book "The Shack". Has anyone read this book. If you are christian I suggest you do. Wow I got so much out of that book. I openly wept a number of times. It is fiction and a great read. I couldn't wait to get home each day to read it. Everyone I know who has read it has had the same experience. It just opens your eyes to God in such a different perspective. Let me know if you read it and what your experience was.

Selena-Congrats on the scale going lower. Make sure you are getting some protein in your diet. Nuts, egg whites, beans if you don't want to eat meat but your body needs protein. I'll stop being a mom now! lol!!

Angela-love the new ideas. You and Monte have certainly revved up these challenges. So glad you came on board.

Nella-Thanks for the info on the new dvd. I am def buying that one.

Echo-so proud of you for going 11 days binge free!!! You r an inspiration. Keep up the hard work!

Have a great Tuesday.

Diva 12-08-2009 08:33 AM

Morning...tired..very tired. I am really considering going back to bed. I am so sick of unpacking. Apparently we have electrical outlet issues in this house and we may need to pay up to $2500 to have the entire thing rewired and updated. Which means only my computer is working, we can't seem to get the router to work either, so I am having to share with the guys. All they can do is argue and I am so sick of everything. I completely blew up at them both last night and threatened to send the boy to his Dad in WI, whom he hasn't seen in over a decade, and leave Jess and TN altogether if they can't freakin figure it out and get along. So over being put in the middle of them two. Who knew getting something you thought you wanted would cause so much stress?...dang....

I'm losing weight but not really trying. I think it's the stress and the inability to eat during it because I feel like I may hurl. I really thought this was supposed to be a happy time but it's anything but...If things don't change, I told Jess last night I want half the tax money to move. I WILL do it. I am so over their crap. FED THE EFF UP! I feel like I just wanna be alone. No man, no kid, no nothing...just alone.

Bigmid 12-08-2009 11:51 AM

Well here we are in the last week. I really need to get my butt in gear to finish this strong. I have only had 1 gain so I am happy about that but would have been nice to lose the whole way through.
I am excited about starting the new challenges too. It sounds fun and who doesn't love a smiley face.

Diva, who ever said moving into a new place was fun...was crazy!!! I bought a new place a couple years ago and nothing about it was fun or brought out the best in me. Hang in there once everything is settled I'm sure the guys will settle in as well. Remember stress is hard on everyone and they all react differently to it. It is good though that you let them know where you stand in all of it. I hope it improves quickly for you though.

Bigmid 12-08-2009 11:53 AM

Also want to say WTG Blue team for winning week 12 and Congratulations to the biggest losers retiredone, Nella, Echo and Somni.

Nella 12-08-2009 12:30 PM

Diva - Being in a step family is difficult. I know I live it everyday, being the stepmom who gets kicked in the teeth all the time, just for being there and trying to help raise the kids. Their mother is a POS who doesn't do anything for them, but they don't see that, so their anger is taken out on me because I am the easy target. I don't know the situation with your husband and son, but I do know that sometimes the parents can't see how really difficult it is for the step parent. Maybe your DH is doing the best he can. My DH loves me and all that I do, but he is pretty oblivious to the things his kids do to make life for me very hard and unpleasant sometimes. I love my step kids, and would jump in front of a speeding bus for them, but I'll never get the respect out of them that I deserve.

So, all that said, I'm glad you are losing pounds, but sorry it is stress related. *big hugs* to you. And if you need to chat, just PM me. :)

So, I'm super excited about tonights finale!!

Cape Breton Chick 12-08-2009 01:00 PM

Cape Breton Chick 12-09-2009 06:13 AM

Morning Ladies! I hope all of you had a great evening!

It is so quiet in here.. where is everyone???

I hope everyone has a p.o.p day! I am listening to the wind howl outside, and dreading having to go out to work in this.. we are gearing up for a winter storm in the next 24.. It is freezing! lol

Diva 12-09-2009 07:11 AM

Thanks Bigmid & Nella. I guess my blow up did the trick because things were actually very pleasant last night. I just hope they remain that way. :) We are finally getting things organized and it's starting to feel like home so we'll see. Maybe I should blow up more often huh? LOL! I do have a tendency to hold stuff in until the explosion happens. It's an Aries thang, hehe!

Anyways, I have grocery shopping and stuff to do today before our little windy winter storm blows in...I miss Spring...I miss the longer, lighter days. I swear I can barely make it past 9 p.m. and I used to be a 11 p.m. to midnight type of gal. *sigh*

Y'all have a great day!

Echo 12-09-2009 08:55 AM

Thanks Mary ! so sweet of you :) i appreciate the support on the binge free days! That book sounds very interesting :) and i'm glad that it touched you. thanks for telling us about it! how many days left till your holiday ? i bet you're excited!

Electric was out htis morning. What amess trying to get ready for work. Just wanted to stop in and say "Hi". Did great yesterday. I will catch up later PRay for electricity

Nella 12-09-2009 02:30 PM

Hey chickies!

Not much to report here. Waiting for TOM to go away, and chugging my water.

Angela - I just figured out that you are up in Nova Scotia! My brother's longtime girlfriend just started teaching at a university up there. The pictures I've seen are beautiful!

Diva - you get em girl!

Echo - Thanks for the kind words. Kids have a hard time seeing what's in front of their faces sometimes.

Nixmom - Keep rockin it at boot camp girl!!

I'm sorry for all those getting beaten by the snow. I guess it's a lot more fun when you can stay home and enjoy it. Around here, half an inch shuts the whole town down. LOL.

Hope everyone has a nice OP day!!!

ETA- I'm such a dummy and didn't check the results thread! Wow a tie with me and Retiredone!! Wahoo! Congrats to all the other losers last week!

retiredone 12-09-2009 08:15 PM

Hello everyone. This week is going so fast for me. DIL's mother is here until the weekend and my schedule is gone haywire. With the snowy roads I'm not walking for safety reasons and then I'm not getting on the bike until after 9 or 10 pm. Way too late but it must be done. And of course we've been Christmas shopping and that's enough to put anyone's schedule off. I've read the posts but it's getting late and I still haven't gotten on the bike yet.

On a very bright note I'll be going home this weekend. I've been away from home for 6 weeks come Sunday and I'm just longing to see my own bed and my own kitchen and my own everything, hahaha. DS and DIL are very good to me though and I'll miss them and especially Baby. He now holds his arms up to me when he wants to be lifted. Maybe I'll sneak him in my suitcase and take him home. He'll be 9 months old on Friday and got his first tooth today!!

Anyhoo, let's all do our very best this last half of the week and get the best out of everything we do.

Catch you all later. Have a good evening.

Nella 12-10-2009 12:09 AM

Isabella - You are so close to goal!!! I'm glad you are still enjoying your time with your family, but I'm a homebody. I like my own stuff, so I understand being ready to go.

Cape Breton Chick 12-10-2009 06:38 AM

Morning Ladies...I hope everyone had a nice evening. We had a huge storm here all night, so not a lot of sleep and am so happy that the schools are closed which means we (the daycare where I work) are closed as well! At 4:30 this morning the winds were clocked at 177km an hour with ice pellets... my two cats, Gats and Gracie were so scared...I felt so bad for them, but no wonder because it really sounded horrible! So it will be a housecleaning day for me today!!! Great opportunity to play catch up with the laundry and well.. more laundry...:dizzy:
Yes, Nella I am in Nova Scotia and yes it is a beautiful place, growing up I never appreciated it as I should have until I moved away for a few years and missed the ocean desperatly and the beauty of the Cabot Trail. I am going to post a link for any of you who are curious as to where I come from.. lol
http://cbisland.com/index2.php -- after last nights storm it certainly doesn't look as pretty this morning..lol but the snow has now turned to rain.

Okay ladies.. it is time for me to get moving here.. have a great day.. i will be popping in and out all day, so if anyone needs anything leave a message and I will get back to you asap :D

Nella 12-10-2009 10:26 AM

Morning ladies!

Sounds like everyone is having some fun winter weather this week! We had a lot of wind and rain yesterday, but it was 75 degrees!

So no news to report. Still holding on to some TOM bloat. I had a hungry day yesterday where I just wanted to eat all day long. It wasn't a boredom thing, my stomach actually hurt I was so hungry. But today is better, and I hope to be OP all day. I need to get some water down though...so off to chug!

I'll check in later! Have a great day!

retiredone 12-10-2009 09:05 PM

Hi Angela. We got some of that storm this morning but not like you guys had. School closed for the afternoon because of the ice pellets but it wasn't too bad after all was said and done. Oh my, this is only the first half of December and we've got so much snow already. I've stopped walking outside this week and I'm on the exercise bike for at least an hour each day instead.

I had potato chips today. I calorie count so they aren't a forbidden food but they are a trigger food for me. But I ate a few handfuls and no more. I have such a hard time not eating the full bag but DIL had them opened and I dipped in and had a few and there were chips left to put away, hahaha. I never went over my calories for the day and had a great supper. The Christmas treats are starting to burst out of the cupboard here at DS's place. Today there were the chips, chocolates and cookies that made an appearance. It's to be expected this time of year and I guess we'll all have a little something during the holiday season. But I'll try and resist as much as possible especially as I don't want to regain. It just takes too long to get the weight back off again.

Anyway, let's have a great weigh in this week.

practiceliving 12-11-2009 12:05 AM

Sorry I'm out, ladies! I have barely been on 3FC lately - partly due to lack of time, and partly not feeling like I'm finding what I need here anymore, after many years on the site.

I wish all of you the best of luck in everything you do, and healthy, happy lives!

Soon2BFitChick 12-11-2009 02:46 PM

Awww We will miss you Marianne. :( Come visit us sometime! Take care and I hope you have a nice holiday.

Well, ladies I decided to make sticky notes for my desk that has WATER CALS EXERCISE on the tops of them. :strong: :swim:

And I wont have time or be here every day to write on them, I'm trying not to obsess about them being done perfectly, but when I am here all day I can easily get in 5 mins of exercise and can take note of how many water bottles I drink and count cals all day because I memorized most things I eat anyway, after years of counting them. Grrr. So wish me luck that this helps me move forward more. I find that when I hold myself accountable I do better.

Oh and I am not going to change my pic on here til I get to 177, 100 lbs off and one lb less than I've even been as an adult. I was 178 for 2 weeks or so in 1996. Do any of you have goals like that too? (I also have a white top I want to wear this spring or summer, should make it!)

Will be back later!
Selina

Cape Breton Chick 12-11-2009 07:18 PM

Hey there ladies... Sorry.. haven't been around much last two days.. it has been crazy with the storms.. we are in the middle of another one right now.. that forced us to close the daycare early today.
Isabella, the snow is starting to accumulate quite a bit the last two days here... but with the high ocean winds blowing in we have alot of squalls.
The windows are shaking here tonight lol
I am hoping to get back on track here this weekend, I am finding it very hard with the weather. It makes me just want to curl up all toasty warm and hibernate..lol
My Biggest Loser vids should be here in the next few days.. Biggest Loser Yoga and Last Chance Workouts with Jillian Micheals... I am hoping they will motivate me like I need!

Echo 12-11-2009 08:40 PM

you're welcome Nella

aww Isabella i can imagine you looking foward to your bed and your own way of doing things. but yeh i can imagine you missing the baby, bless

hey Angela, my last chance workout (biggest loser) dvd arrived in the post this morning! earlier than i expected, and the other 30day jump start aswell!

i did the last chance workout. wow killer workout!

on the last chance workout, its really cute they do these week by week schedules. but since i've been working out for awhile now, i skipped to the last week and did all 3 workouts. its a great workout, and i just love it when she says last chance workout! hehehehe. full workout was about 1 hour and i burned 450 calories :) i am beat! took a shower and now going to have organic apricot yogurt :)

Angela, wow you live in such a beautiful place!!!! you are so lucky :)

Nella i hear ya on the TOM bloat. i think i'm expecting TOM as i've been crazy hungry lately and feel abit bloated.

omg snap Nella! i totally wanted to eat all day long yday, and i did! had a major binge. totally paid for it this morning by gaining a pound since yesterday gah!! but its probably a combo of food weight and water retention, cause the calories i overate, would have just been a 0.2lb gain. so going to workout hard for the next few days to make up for it!

today i was on plan though :) ate my BMR calories and worked out.

isabella, i love potato chips!! good on ya for staying within calories!

and i agree with NElla, you are so close to your goal! well done!!

Marianne - all the best !!! good luck!

Good luck Selina! sounds like a great plan :)

Angela, hope everything is okay wih referent to the storms. hope you get the dvds soon, so we can compare notes!

Nella 12-11-2009 10:23 PM

howdy gals, quick post, off to bed, but this is the first time I could log in all day. The 3FC log in system was messed up all day. :(

Well TOM is gone, and the scale was down to...well, not quite sure i think I need a new scale. It said 165.4, then it said 166.2, then it said 164.8, then it said 165.6. SO, I'll be buying a new scale tomorrow, lol. The battery in it is new, so that's not the problem. Anyway, I'm fairly sure I'm back at 165.something. So yay!

Angela - sorry about the bad weather!

Echo - Yay for the DVD's!!! The workout didn't feel too hard while I was doign it (some of the stuff I had to slow down on) but I sure did feel it for a few days after! I hope TOm goes away soon. Try to resist the binges!! I did better this month on the binging than last month.

Soon2B - You'll totally be able to rock that white top this spring!!! Keep up the good work!! And I started the sticky note thign today too to track my water. i can't ever remember how many bottles I've had, so now I have a check off sheet.

maryshady 12-12-2009 07:34 AM

I couldn't get on at all yesterday. I had Monte post my weigh in just in case I couldn't get back here. Packing this morning and really looking forward to leaving tomorrow. I love how vacation brings the family back together. Didn't make my goal but I will take the 173's hopefully by the time I get back I will hit the 160's.

Angela-kwym about cold wintery weather. I feel the same way. Just curl up with some hot chocolate and a good book under a blanket, that's my motto. I checked out out your link...wow you live in a beautiful area. Very fortunate. Vacation spot all year long!

retired- I can just imagine how much you will miss that little guy but going home is so nice.

Marianne-We will miss you. Good luck with all your pursuits and keep up the hard work. You have come so far!

Nella-Yay for 165's.:carrot::carrot: Can't wait to get there.

Selina- Way to go on coming up with a plan but don't obsess about it or it takes all the fun out of it. I sometimes wish I was a little ocd lol! I tend to come up with a plan and no commitment to see it thru. By the way I think you look beautiful in the pic you have posted.

Echo-As soon as I get back I am ordering those dvd's. Yay to you for going right to the third step and doing all three. You are an athlete!!! :carrot:

Well I will certainly miss you all. Good luck on the final weigh in. See you ;) all next Monday!!!

Echo 12-12-2009 10:43 AM

Nella you're so right, about resisting the binging! yesterday was a POP day and i was rewarded by the number on the scale this morning :) :goodscale: hope i can maintain it for mondays final weigh in

TOM is not here yet for me.

thats awesome that you did the workout too! i know what you mean about it feeling not too hard whilst your doing it, some of the moves are tough though, and i did have to modify it, like mountain climbers!! and walking planks gah those are tough. but all in all, its a great workout that is totally do-able for all levels. but not too extreme that you cant do it and your dying.

i seem to have trapped wind though, it started a little after i finished the workout last night, and its persisted today. going to have some peppermint tea in the hopes to sooth it. dont know if its connected to me working out or what not. i dont feel i worked out extra hard or anything during the workout. dunno must just be one of those random things. i'm sure i will be fine after some hot peppermint tea.

Aww thanks Mary you are just the sweetest!!! :) you just made my day! hope you enjoy the dvd! and let me know how you find it :)

--

edit:

yeh i dont think its trapped wind, although feels like it. i think i must have pulled my ab muscles or something. been in pain all day. got a heat blanket on it for most of the day. i am out of commission for exercise for a few days. gonna take it easy. i might have been over zealous on the core exercises perhaps. might have pushed myself just a teeny bit too much on the core / plamks even though at the time didt feel like i did. . never had it this bad before though. took some asprin, feeling abit better. hope to feel better tommorow.

Cape Breton Chick 12-12-2009 08:39 PM

Agh! What a day.. it has been a crazy day.. stormed all day and trying to arrange Christmas family plans to make everyone happy... that can be alot of work..lol Being the "baby" in my family does not mean I just get to go a long with what everyone else decides.. it means I have to barter and play devils advocate to get everyone in the same place, same time and everyone happy... agh! Everyone always gets together and loves Christmas but its when do we have our big dinner and all of the other stuff that goes along with it. So to try and make everyone happy I told my mom I will come up a day early and help her with all the preparations so that we can please everyone time wise.. grrrrrr .. lol My Fa la la la la is broken... haha
Okay sorry for the vent.. lol but I am afraid weight wise I am in no better cheer. lol I feel stuck and lazy. aghhhhh I am hoping I will get out of this funk.. I am sure it is a combination of allowing myself to put me second again to work and everyone else as well as allowing my g.i tract attacks early in november into Dec. to become an excuse for veering of f plan and then the weather on top of it all became an equation for disaster,,,But I am aware and am taking steps to get back to being the much happier me I was when I was kicking it back in the fall! Fact that I am aware of it and keeping myself accountable to that knowledge tells me I am still on the right track.. jsut stalled... right?
okay..well enough of all of that! I hope everyone is having a great weekend and if you are in the areas where winter is showing its nasty side I hope you are all staying safe and warm! See you all tomorrow! God Bless :grouphug:

retiredone 12-13-2009 05:53 PM

I'm home!!!! Spent most of the day traveling and/or visiting and eating junk. I know better but I ate it anyway. My stomach is starting to do the rumble and I almost feel nauseous. Tomorrow I'm back in action again but I might try a little while on the bike if my stomach will take it. I'm going to miss my DGS though but it's good to be home after 6 weeks of being away.

Angela, don't fall apart. You can't be everything for everyone, even in a family. That's just too much stress. Try and enjoy the holiday and kinda chill out over there "across the pond." I mean that metaphorically, of course, as the weather has us all chilled out. Brrrr.

Echo, feeling better today? I get pains in my side sometimes that I think is trapped wind. Sometimes it lasts for a couple of weeks. I sometimes think I've pulled a muscle but it eventually goes away, especially if it gets windy inside.

I weighed in yesterday morning and I lost 1/2 a pound this week. Still going down and that's the main thing. Well, I guess tomorrow is the last day and then we'll merge and become a PURPLE Powerhouse of weight loss. :D

See you all tomorrow.

Cape Breton Chick 12-13-2009 07:05 PM

Isabella .. you so rawk! thank you.. your right I know and today I feel much better. I never fall part but on occasion I need to air it all out.. lol haha and am so thankful for all of you here.
I am so glad you made it home safe and sound! The wind has finally stopped blowing here and now after 3 days of constant snow storms, they are calling for rain tomorrow! Lord help me..lol haha

Tomorrow is it ladies! I will be opening the Purple team, Bridging the Gap Challenge Chat thread on Tuesday morning, before I head to work.
You all did so great this challenge, and I know for those who want to participate in the purple team mini challenge you will rawk that one too.. then come January we are GOLDEN!!! Gotta get it together and get the weight off so come next summer we will all be rawkin those swimsuits.. lol or the very least feel comfortable in shorts! lol
See you all tomorrow.. night night!

I weighed in yesterday morning and I lost 1/2 a pound this week. Still going down and that's the main thing. Well, I guess tomorrow is the last day and then we'll merge and become a PURPLE Powerhouse of weight loss. :D

See you all tomorrow.

aww thanks for asking Isabella you're so sweet!

yes thankfully Abs feeling better, i took some asprin again last night before i went to bed. and this morning it was much better, a slight twinge from time to time, but nothing major. but today felt VERY very tired and exhausted and lethargic. and i can tell its a sign of over training. so the last chance workout was much harder than i thought!

gonna take another rest day tommorow and then get back to exerice on tuesday.

thanks angela for sorting out the purple challenge. i am gonna need the accountability over the xmas period!

Thanks everyone for your support, I have really enjoyed this blue team challenge and its helped me so much! couldnt have lost the amount of pounds i lost on the challenge, without the accountability.

you all rock! and i cant wait to join the blue team again next year in jan !!

congrats on losing half a pound! you're so awesome!!!

aww i can imagine it feels to be at home sweet home.

I was OP today. Yay. :) Well I guess I am every day. LOL. Taste problem is depressing lately. We were given fudge and baked breads and I hardly eat any, just a bite here and there hoping to taste it..

Ah well, I hope you all have a great nite! Gotta rush!!

Hi Ladies,
Well here it is Sunday night and my last weigh in for the challenge. I was down 1.2lbs for the week. Not as good as I wanted but considering the stress at work and the -28 temps I'll take it. By the way it's -32 without windchill right now....brrrrrrr. Very hard to drink all my water with me freezing all the time. I think that's why I haven't lost as much. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
I have had so many problems at work and working so much overtime I am sorry I haven't been on much this week. I have just finished reading the posts and caught up on everything. Sorry I forgot to take notes so can't do personals right now. This is my busy season so even the bridging the gap challange (which I am doing) I may not get a chance to post as much as some of you but in January I will be back to normal so will get to chat more. I manage a photo lab so busy time of year:)
Angela - I lived in NS years ago and still have relatives there now and I have to say I absolutly love the Cabot Trail. Also nothing better than NS/Cape Breton in the fall.....all the colors...WOW I don't want your winter stormes though. Calgary is bad enough.

Well I lost 26.2lbs for the challange so I am happy about that and look forward to losing another 25-30 on the next one. I hope I get a chance to share it with all of you as well.....The Blue Team Rocks.

Best of luck to all of you tomorrow.
