Echo - You are some kind of machine!!!! All 3 levels!?!? I haven't finished level 3 yet.

I am going to get myself one of those Polar HRM for myself for Xmas. I can't justify the cost of it right now. Ugh, I guess I better get my butt in gear and do some exercise tonight. I totally failed on it last night. It was pouring rain and I'm cranky from pre-TOM crap, so I crocheted instead. Lemme tell you, I burned some serious calories doing that! Maybe like 25, lol.

happeningf 11-12-2009 07:27 PM

Hey Gals!

I've read up on everything, and I'm so sorry about the loss of a family friend (never good, but so much learning and experience comes from it) and congrats Diva on the house!

I'm losing my motivation to jog and need to be screamed at. I just can't get out there. I have a 5K in Dec and I need to be able to run the whole thing in 30 like I used to, but I'm just... not doing anything about it! What is the matter with me!?

aww thanks Nella! you totally made my day! but i do the modified versions for some of the exercises. like those damn moving planks on the elbows. i go on my knees for that plank exercise. hehe
Also i have a mini rebounder so i do all the cardio stuff on that, to protect my knees. all those jumping jacks and jump rope, slightly easier on a rebounder, cause of no impact. i have a bad knee, so i have to be careful. and i dont go very low on the lunges either.

awesome you totally should treat yourself for xmas!

well blue team, i am super excited today! my heart rate monitor arrived today, and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! didnt take me long to set it up and its totally comfortable to wear!! and really motivated me and inspired me during my workout.

i did jillian michales 30 day shred levels 1 2 and 3.

i love my polar f7f! it tells me how many calories i'm burning, and what percentage of my HR i am at, its awesome, its my new shiny toy hehehe. i love it!

my stats from my workout is as follows:

jillian michaels 30 day shred level 1 2 3
total time = 1 hour 25 mins

total calories burned = 703 (45%fat)

time spent in light zone 30 minutes
time spent in moderate zone = 32 mins
time spent in hard zone 22 minutes

time spent in the zone: 151-169 bpm= 22 minutes.

max HR achieved = 88%
average HR = 72%

i know jillian says that we should workout at 85% of our maximum heart rate, that is tough! most of the time i was at around 75% but yah i could feel it when i was at 85% i'm so happy that it arrived today!

i was actually looking forward to working out so i could test it out hehe :)

I am so excited for you! Keep up the good work Echo:carrot::carrot:

I have really missed you guys, i like everybody else have not been able to access the forum.

I hope everyone is doing well. Diva, I know that you are:D

Diva 11-14-2009 06:29 PM

Hello everyone. I'm so glad the site is up and running again. I needed to post my 2 pound loss and couldn't do it and I felt like someone had pulled the rug out from under me. Hahaha. You know what it's like. You tell your DH or family members and they say, "Oh, great." and walk away as if to say anyone could do that. But when I post it on 3FC I know everyone knows it's an accomplishment of epic proportions. It's great to have a community of support.

Yesterday when I was out for my walk I saw a house fire. It was a few miles away but I was at the top of a hill and I could see a huge column of black smoke in the distance and then as I walked a little farther I could see the flames. I didn't know exactly where it was at the time but I knew whatever was burning would be burned right down to the ground as the fire looked fierce. Sirens were wailing all over town but by the time I got close enough to figure out where it would be the smoke had cleared and there was no sign of the fire. I checked the news online later that evening and sure enough it was a house fire. Fortunately, no one was hurt (family of 4) but the house was burned to the ground and 3 other houses were affected with melted siding and singed roofs.

Happening
, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do even if you don't want ta do it. You'll feel good after your run and that will motivate you to do keep it up. Nothing breeds success like success.

Echo
, sounds like you have gotten an extra portion of energy. I got tired just reading your post.

Nella, what were/are you crocheting? My aunt tried to teach me how years ago but it was all a tangle to me.

So, Diva, what plans do you have in mind for the new house for Christmas? I know you've got it all planned and replanned out in your mind.

Hi Mercy. I think we all missed posting the last couple of days.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Catch you all later.

Bigmid 11-15-2009 11:39 AM

Hi everyone,
Just a quick check in I did my weigh in this morning and OMG I was up 6.2lbs from Thursday. I have no idea what happened but I am not posting until tomorrow just in case it is water (or lack of water) weight. I am not sure if this is true, should I take a freebie tomorrow as to not hurt the teams chances of winning?

I see there has been some great successes...congratulations to all of you.

Christmas in your first house Diva you must be thrilled. Congratulations.

Well this is just a quick fly by....good luck to everyone for tomorrows weigh in.

Diva 11-15-2009 12:07 PM

Good morning Team!

I'm gonna go ahead and post yesterday's weight, which wasn't a change from last week and considering TOM has arrived, I'll take it! Plus I am paranoid that this site is gonna go down again, LOL!

Anyhoo, we still have the Sparkpeople Team, The 3FC Club-House created. All are welcome to join. It'll be a good place for us to chat in between challenges too and over the Holidays! :D

And YES, Isabella, you best be believing I have decorated and redecorated my house for Christmas and everything else for that matter, in my mind! I love it. it's small, but it's an excellent starter home and we have PLENTY of land to build & expand throughout the yrs and a HUGE back yard! I love it!
I'll have to post a pic soon.

Diva 11-15-2009 12:14 PM

{P.S.} Not to hurt any feelers, but didn't Happening say she'd do results for us too since Dixie can't be here right now? I know Mary was chosen by Monte, but she hasn't posted them either because of something or another... Happening, are you still willing? or anyone??? I'm not trying to be a pain, I am am curious to see how we are doing and how we doing compared to Red.

retiredone 11-15-2009 04:12 PM

Hello, my pretties. I was successful in finding and buying a new pair of wintery walking shoes. Yeah!!! The search has ended. They're actually a sports shoe with no mesh panels with lots of tread in the soles. I also bought some wintery socks to wear in them to keep my feet warmer. They weren't expensive either, about $34 with tax. I'm wearing them around the house tonight to introduce them to my feet. Tomorrow we travel together outside.

Have a lovely evening.

So sorry.....this is totally my fault. Mary asked me Thursday to post your team's results as she wasn't able to get on the site, and I fully intended to, but I couldn't even log on until yesterday afternoon, and by then I had forgotten about it.........I will have them for you in just a few minutes. Totally my bad!

yeh its water retention. i dont think you can physically gain that many pounds in a week. you'd have to have consumed an EXTRA 3000 calories of food each day. probably a combination of water retention and food weight that hasnt passed out of your body. jillian micaels talks about just eating a pickle can cause you to gain 1-2lb in water weight..

Nella 11-15-2009 08:23 PM

OMG, I'm so glad the site is back up!!! It was a terrible few days for me, i totally did whatever I wanted because I was cranky from TOM and not having you gals to keep me in check. I might be taking a freebie tomorrow, we'll see what the scale says in the morning.

Thansk again Monte for posting the results! Wow! Can't believe I won last week. Great job to all the ladies!!! We are killing this challenge!! Keep it up girls!!!!

So, busy weekend helping my parents. My mom had some surgery on her knee, so I had to help dad with their business all weekend because she can't really walk right now. But she's on the mend and will be back up soon. So I'm tired and off to be early, lol. Catch you all in the morning!!!

*hugs*

Nixmom 11-15-2009 08:24 PM

Hey bluesies! I'm back and a wife and terribly off track!! Thanks for all the well wishes and congrats. I must say, I need to re-earn the weight loss related kudos from last week... I TOTALLY indulged this last week and ditched bootcamp ALL FREAKING WEEK! Too much planning to do. Now its over and I gotta buck up and do work!

Just a quick wedding post - the ceremony was done in record time (3min 45 seconds - courthouse pitstop!:D) and lunch out with the fam was great. I got my nails and toes done and my ring looks gorgeous! I hope to get some pics from the parents soon and share!

I read the week 8 thread and caught up on Week 9. LOTS going on. New houses, new losses, new shoes (love those!), lost friends (God must have needed another angel), sick babies, and TONS OF SUPPORT. I must say, you girls rock!

I am looking forward to getting my energy back. It disappears so fast when you sit out exercise! Off to cook my stuff for the week so I can post a rocking week 10 loss!

suzie42 11-15-2009 08:58 PM

Hi Guys,

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

I don't think I'm going to get in my walk today. It rained last night and now it is drizzling. I guess it's on the bike for me unless things dry up some. Nothing worse than walking and getting wet and cold.
