I will probably have a lot of 3 day weekends or more since my company is having money issues so I'll probably be on unemployment very soon!

I hope not Melwolfe. Unemployment sucks. DH has been laid off for about 2 months. He is a truck driver and could always go over the road but would prefer to stay local since we have young kids.

I think I'm going to take a break from counting calories for a bit. I'm getting tired and burned out from it. I'm pretty sure I'm eating more than I should be but I'm going to focus on my running for now and hopefully the increased focus on exercise will enable me to hold my weight at least steady for the next week or two.

Morning Ladies!

Me4life - holy smokes! That sounds like the plot of a movie... not a life someone should be leading. You're a trooper!

Mel - here's hoping you dont see the unemployment line. And if you do... when one door closes... another will open. BF has been out of work 6 months... it turned into us starting our own businesses (yes, 2) to get going again. A blessing in disguise.

Jacque - DITTO!

K girls ~ my weigh in was miraculously down a pound plus. But I have got to get it in gear. I cant waste the next 6 months of 2009. It would be in excusable.

Have a great Monday. I'm off to get my water!

Hi team!
I totally missed the thread for last week. I wasn't getting any new post notifications (because I was not subscribed to the new thread) and it just slipped my mind.

Mel: Hopefully unemployment won't be in the future for you

Zinke: I think it's good to take a break if you need to.

I have to confess: My last week was very bad when it comes to eating. Have family visiting from out of town and we're still looking for a new place and my schedule was out of whack. I ended up eating outside for most days last week and not making the best choices either. Good thing is, yesterday I decided I was done wasting my time pretending I was actively trying to lose weight when I really wasn't following my plan very well and I re-committed myself to it right then and then. So today is day 2 for me and I am making it my goal to be as committed as I was at the beginning when I was losing weight at a nice steady pace.

me4life ~ I'm with ya. Last night my healthy plans got shot outta the water too. And my eating was less than stellar. I'm up for a new day myself!

We got back from our long road trip on Sat night, though the phone and internet were completely dead from some cut wire outside, everything's all fixed now yay. I had a great time but I'm soo glad to be home. It's hard when constantly out of my element, frequently a guest or in a group of people. i feel more in control when on my 'home turf,' the gym nearby and the kitchen stocked with stuff I've chosen.

I have an out of town friend coming this weekend and staying for a couple of weeks but I feel better about being able to stay on track.

I started back to the gym yesterday, after spending sunday alternating between unpacking/laundry, and resting. I was so sluggish and dragging my feet before I left, but I was so glad I went.

melwolfe-I hope things get better for you, unemployment is the pits, I do wish you luck.

me4life-Wow, you have alot to deal with right now, stay strong

zinkemomx2-sometimes a break helps, great job on the running, you are doing wonderful

Somni-Welcome Home, it's always great to get away for a while, but there's no place like home. So hard to get back into a routine, but I agree it's always great after you do get that exercise in, makes me want to stay OP.

Idealmuse-Yay for no gain, love those weeks.

**********
well, having a wonderful week off, my company has mandatory plant shut down, so I'm using my time off wisely, getting orgainized, and planning to paint my son's old room, to make that my sewing/craft room, it will be nice to have all my stuff in one room.

I almost done week 2 of my C25K, which is going so well for me, so happy I'm doing this, never thought I would ever be able to run, thought my knees would not be able to support my weight. Well need to start my day, have a wonderful one everyone.

Thanks for the well wishes all, however I will be laid off beginning of August. It's not the end of the world. I'm lucky because my hubby makes decent money so we'll be ok and hopefully it's temporary and the company will get back up and running in a couple months or I'll find a really kick a** job to replace this one.

Hope everyone else is doing well. I leave for vacation next Friday but should have internet access so it's ok.

I'm back too! Sorry I missed the weigh in yesterday and I'll have to use a freebie. I'll be better this week.

I've been struggling- doing enough to 'maintain' but NOT enough to lose. Ugh. I'm ready to get back to the losing thing. THe whole month of June was basically a wash for me in terms of loss. However, rather than beat myself I'm going to remember my 'hipocratic oath' of weight loss- First do no harm. So, even if I didn't LOSE, I didn't have a huge gain either (still up a pound from my low weight but I'd consider that within maintaining). I REALLY want a decent loss this week though so I'd better get off 3fc and over to the gym!

Melwolfe- I'm glad unemployment won't be too damaging for you but hope you can find something else quick (but not so quick that you don't get some needed 'down time').
