  • I don't have enough weight to lose anymore for Biggest Loser, otherwise I would have emailed in a heartbeat. I tried to get my dad to do it, but he isn't interested unfortunately (and he needs it).
Good luck to anyone who tries!
  • Quote: QOTD: What is your end goal size (or weight if size isn't importnat)? When do you plan on meeting your goal?
My end goal weight is 130 although I'd be happy at 140. I'm guessing that would put my end goal size at about 8-10 since that was where I was when I was that weight before. I'd like to meet that goal by this time next year. However, I've learned not to focus on the number and just focus on the behaviors that will bring me to my goal. Like rather than set a goal for weight loss per week, I set a goal for how many times I will work out.
  • Hey Red!

Congrats to the big losers! I totally stalled last week despite staying on plan. The good news is that I seem to have fallen into a pattern of slow week, good week, slow week, etc. So far the scale is looking good this week!

QOTD: Currently my profile shows my goal weight as 199 because when I started 6 months ago at 340 pounds I could not fathom a smaller number in my head. Now in my head my goal weight is 175 and my personal trainer thinks 168 would be perfect for my height and build. So, on paper it's still 199 because that seems totally manageable, but in my head but I WILL be 168 one day! As for timing....Oy...I can't begin to guess. I'd love to see 199 by my 39th Bday on June 10th and I'd love to see 168 by my 40th. Ultimately my 40th Bday is my goal I guess. I have no idea what size I'll be. I have not been under 200 pounds since high school...this is all crazy and new to me. What an adventure!!

Time to sleep...sweet dreams to all!
  • CruiseCat - I too am on week 4 and today for the first time I ran the 2nd 5 minutes. Thought I was going to quit after a minute, but I wanted something to tell the thread. Hopefully is should pay off on the scale.

And TOM surprised me this morning. Took everything I had to actually make it to the gym. Then TOM made me run further? How does the work.

    Yay red team
  • WAY TO RED...NEXT WEEK IS OUR WEEK!!!!!

    Congrats to our biggest losers!!

I have to agree with Shannon on BL Bootcamp. I have other BL DVDs but never use them. Boot Camp and Yoga are favorites. Keep going with the yoga, I did the whole thing the other day and boy did I sweat!! At one point we were in plank position for so long that when I looked down at my mat I was actually dripping sweat!!! It delivers a good workout that's for sure!

QOTD Wow, this is a tough one. When I was younger and thinner I was a size 8. I hope to be there again, but I want to find a weight I can maintain, so we will see where that is. I also have decided to have plastic surgery at goal to remove extra skin. I have already seen the surgeon and will schedule when I have stabilized for a few months. I have a large amount of extra skin and stubborn fat on my abdomen that I know from previous weight loss will go nowhere. Pants never fit right because I have narrow hips but a large skin apron on my abdomen. So, after all this work I have decided that I want to have this removed and tightened.

Hope everyone is staying warm in this freaky cold front!! A positive note on the weather is that I had a 1 hour weather induced workout shoveling snow today!! I have to look for some positive in this rotten snow and ice!!

  • starmac13 - Congratulations of getting through that second 5 minute run. I did it again yesterday and at about the 3.5 is when I wanted to stop but didn't. The feeling of accomplishment is awesome and I can't wait to be running a real 5K.... I NEVER thought I would say that.

Thanks to those that provided reviews of the BL DVDs. I think I will get BootCamp.

Yesterday I was actually able to do my ZUMBA 20 express and not feel so uncoordinated. It's a fun workout.

TSap - I am also thinking about having surgery once I am at goal. It's totally a vanity thing. I figure while they are giving me a lift I might as well have the extra skin removed from my abdomen.
  • Hey ladies!

I'm back in the land of the living. I have been crazy busy! I just checked out the results of the WI and I am stoked that I was a runner-up! Thanks for the congrats everyone!

CONGRATS CruiseCAT for being the biggest loser!

We too had a snow storm yesterday which meant no school buses running. But my DH did not know that. He was running late in the morning so drove DS to school only to find out that the buses had been canceled. But the school was still open, so my DS went to school reluctantly as we had a meeting with the teacher at the end of the day anyways so we knew we would be coming back and could pick him up then. I was glad DS was out of my hair because I literally hit the floor running yesterday. I had SO MUCH on my plate with teaching and an important show in the evening that I was singing in. Plus, I really needed some more time to go over the music I was going to do for the show. Anyways, the storm proceeded to cause all of my students from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM to reschedule in one way or another as the day went along. Around 5 PM, the show got canceled and rescheduled for April. So, every hour of the day, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, just got easier and easier until I was like a puddle of relaxation. To go from being so tense in the morning to having each stress drop away one hour at a time was like being given a gift every hour…a gift of relaxation.

I confess my exercise, OP eating and water intake was weak these past few days, but I plan on reversing all that today.

QOTD My goal is 140 lbs. which should put me in size 8. At least that's what I recall happened 25 years ago when I got down to that weight. Of course, there was no such thing as size 0 back then, so who knows. I'm in a size 10 right now, so we'll see. I expect to be at 140 in 20 weeks - June 20th. Glad you asked that because I hadn't actually set a goal date. I have a show that I am doing at the Toronto Fringe Festival at the beginning of July, so I would really be happy to be at my goal weight for that!
  • Hi everybody! Hope you all are having a wonderful day! The scale just keeps moving! I am so excited that my body is finally healed and ready to lose this weight! I think I might have a chance of being the biggest loser this week!

Yeah, but it's because you water loaded! ROFL!! J/K
  • Hello Team. Today I've done my W3D2 of C25K, I like it a lot. Can't wait til I finnish the whole program. I'm using some podcasts I found on internet, it makes it all more fun http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcas.../podcasts.html..
This weeks diet has been worse,, two birthdays,, so I've been eating to much icecream and cake.. I'll do my best this weekend to not gain..
This weeks challenge is going good so far, my arms are very tired after my workouts. It feels great
    Have a nice weekend everyone!
  • Quote: Yeah, but it's because you water loaded! ROFL!! J/K
Your actually probably right. It's probably my body letting go of all that water from the surgery. Actually, I 'm pulling a Neil from the Blue team that one season. Remember that? He water loaded and gained 17 lbs! Nah, If I was going to water load I would wait and do it at the end of the season, ! JK!!

I hope it is really weight thats coming off though. I kinda think it is, the first week of January when I started WW, I dropped 7 lbs, and I have been pretty OP all week as well as getting in plenty of activity! I'm on a roll!
  • Hi Red Team,
Congrats to our Biggest Loser and also to the runner ups!!! Way to go.

I asm going to have surgery on the 9th to remove my lump, they tell me that it shouldn't take very long and be out patient so I should be home on the couch by noon. But then I have to wear a bra 24 hrs a day for several weeks which will be lots of fun, not.
The whole family is going to start eating much better, DH got the diagnosis today of diabetes. I always thought it would be me, I'm heavey and my family has much more members with it than his has. He has lost 32 lbs in the last 6 months, his clothes are just hanging on him but he kept putting off going to the dr. I finally got him in today and the dr was very suprised that he had it because he is so thin.

Ihope everyone has a great weekend

  • everyone.

Thanks for the kind words, today was a much better day. Leonidas is next door at my friend's house (it's much warmer over there) so I spent the day trying to turn the tide. I'm still feeling ill, headache and tired, but I started the process of detoxing all that out. Today I took my vitamins, kept within my calories, ate lots of fiber, no soda, drank 2 gals of water, and slept. Tomorrow, I should feel much better.

QOTD: My ultimate goal weight is 150 but right now I'm focused on getting to ONEderland (actually I'm focused on just reaching the 230s but 199 is kinda the halfway point). I hope to be as close to that by my birthday at the end of July.

    WI this morning: 263

    Epic fail.

WI next week will be much better. Definitely.
  • Hey everyone

About to go to bed, but just wanted to say a quick hi to everyone. I am super excited about the weigh in. I dont know maybe the stars are finally aligning or something, but I have a good feeling about this week.

Night everyone. Hope I wake up in time to get my workout in before the day starts
