Hi Everyone
I'm not going to be able to finish the challenge, but hope to do the next one. Things just got away frome me and I didn't get my weight posted last week. I hope everything goes great for every one, and I'll try to get in and keep up on everyone until next challenge.
Bette

Hello eveyone just thought I would drop in for a minute to say HI. I haven't had alot of time to log on because I have been extremely busy with work and tons of stress is coming with that, I am so tired and getting ready for bed but it is almost midnight already. Getting so tired of our weather we are melting some snow but it is still cold and the wind is blowing 40-80 miles/hour it just really sucks!!!! Okay enough on that I will try to get on tomorrow to catch up on everything. Goodnight

Hi everyone. So, I went to WW yesterday and I was up FIVE pounds. (FIVE). The WW lady was rude, and told me "you must of done something" that is over 17,000 extra calories I would have had to eat ontop of everything that I exercised AND my caloric intake to maintain my weight. She was just so rude. I have worked my butt off this week, I have spun three times, done step once, and ran twice, plus lifted weights and walked the dogs and the baby most days. I stayed within my points range, except for Easter- and what we had wasn't that unhealthy- I just didn't write the points down. I am just SO annoyed. They make it seem like the only thing that matters are the numbers on the scale- and it ISN'T. I am running which I have never been able to do, I've gone down two pants sizes since Janurary and only lost (with this gain) about 9 pounds so I know something is working. I might just not post my number, and be out of the challenge, I don't want to bring anyone else down.

Caitbeans, please DON'T leave the challenge. You have been an important part of this journey and I want you to finish with us-you deserve it!

I love these challenges and they help me a lot, the onl real issue that keeps coming up is the fact that pounds aren't the best way to measure success for everyone at all times.

I AM participating in the next challenge but am also starting a NSV/Step Away from the Scale! Challenge on April first and I hope there will be some co-involvement. I am sorry Weight Watchers staff weren't very supportive. If they had a clue, they'd realize that it's likely something else than 17,000 excess calories, like water retention due to exercise, sodium, hormones.

BetteK, please keep posting and finish unofficially with us too!!! You are still a Black Team Member!!!

Reda, 40-80 miles an hour with melting snow sounds scary! I hope your stress melts away with the snow and you are able to find your ground. ;)

ChopperChick355 03-30-2008 11:09 AM

Well the wind let up some today finally, stress, well hopefully after tomorrow I will get rid of some, just have some not so fun things to do and take care of first with work. I am going to join the next challenge as well and will hopefully be on the black team again....

That's exactly why I quit WW. My insurance paid for it and I had to lose a certain amount for them to pay for another 8 or 12 weeks (?). Anyway, the next to the last week I lost over the amount I had to lose, but it just so happens that my final week TOM showed up and of course I gained 3 lbs. Well the lady was a rude ()b)itch and made me feel so bad, and because of this my insurance refused to continue paying for it. They wanted me to and I just couldn't afford to. I felt like I was being punished for starting my dang period, so I never went back. I was ALWAYS hungry on WW and I didn't feel like I got a whole or of support....not to mention the smelly lady that never STFU, so that was it for me. Besides, I was getting MOST of my support from 3FC's, so I figured, why pay WW when I was getting what I need for free here and was using fitaday.com to log my food? Anywho....I've had A LOT more success counting calories & exercising and learning to eat right. That's my WW story, lol!

BTW, I use The Daily Plate now to log calories & exercise and I LOVE it!

Hi Team,

Sorry been quiet....had a busy weekend of go, go, go! I need Monday to come so I can escape to my office and shut the door to relax, lol!

Cait - awwww! that is crappy! don't leave us :(

Going to check out beach progress...gotta watch out the ggmugsy doesn't get there and have the whole beach to herself to steal all the men!

ahill1979 03-30-2008 08:36 PM

SB, Can you PM me some info on the NSV challenge that you are starting. I would like to participate. Thanks.

SoulBliss 03-30-2008 09:09 PM

Ahill, I think I will start the thread tonight so people can sign up (DUH! I forgot about that part of it!). It won't be a competitive challenge in the traditional sense, as we will set our own guidelines and keep accountable but not try to lose the most weight etc.

:D

I will post back here/PM you about it once it's up an going.

ChopperChick355 03-30-2008 09:55 PM

Yeah I think I may want to be included in the NSV challenge. I need something that is going to keep me motivated and challenged but the scale just keeps depressing me even though some of it is my own actions. Alot of it is this stupid weather they are forcasting another 6-10 inches of snow but first we have to have rain, sleet then snow what a mess.... I am so ready for spring and summer to get here even though I am not to my goal weight I just need for winter to be over because it is so depressing and I sure am feeling it my moods lately and so has everyone around me. Well hope everyones weekend has been good? Have a great night

dream710 03-31-2008 06:55 AM

Morning team! What a lazy weekend! I didn't get much accomplished but watch a couple of movies. I did manage to get to the grocery store and now I'm well stocked for healthy living.

Cait-Sorry that the lady at WW was sooo rude. There could be a number of reasons for the gain. This lady doesn't know what or what you don't do in you're daily routine, so she shoulda just kept her mouth shut! I would assume that spinning class has a lot to do with it. Once your body adjusts to the intensity of the workout I'm sure the pounds will be melting off. Hang in there and don't leave

Ceegee-Dreaming about Sawyer :o you lucky girl you!

Reda-I hope the weather gets better. Its still teasing us here. One day it will be super nice and you think its hear to stay, and then the next day the winds blowing your hat to Kansas and cold as ****. I'd like it to warm up so I can run outside...yes I'm a fairweather runner ;)

Bette-Like SB said, stick around, even tho the numbers don't count we all could use the support. Its sooo close to the end of the challenge that we hate to lose anybody.

Soul-where do you find artichoke hearts in water...the only ones I find are in brine....I cant believe how expensive they are in the can I paid 2.75 for one can. I would buy them fresh, but I don't know the first thing about cooking them. I think thats great that you eat off a smaller plate. I think I'm gonna have to try that, here lately the servings sizes are getting a bit outta control.

Diva-Hows the hip? You have your doc appt today right? I hope everything goes well.

Julz and Michie-hows the cleanse going

Anybody watching the Paul McKenna special I can make you thin on TLC. I was just curious what everyone thought. The accupuncture technique was a bit strange, but I wonder if it works.
