Afternoon Everyone

Well yesterday I was taking things really hard so I had a really bad eating cycle. I ate "product" not once but twice and managed to have 5 meals in one day... oh it was yucky. At least I didn't have any candy to tempt me! I went to bed at 9 pm which is super early for me.

Today I'm having a better morning. I have plans to go out tonight with some old friends of mine and we are heading out to the bars. I'm going to have a few drinks, but I'm the most paranoid person I know about road blocks and drunk driving so I'm making sure I stick to the 1 drink per hour rule.... I may even stretch it to 1 drink per two hours.... or three. I don't care for cops much.

Tomorrow I'm thinking I'll probably go shopping during the day then it's probably another night out tomorrow.

I'm going to go ahead and call a freebie week for myself this week. Not just because of my eating behavior but my parents have an analog scale and I'm used to weighing on my digital at home. Which reminds me that I need to get a new one, the leg broke off my old one and while it still reads acurately, I've been drooling over the $50 weight watchers one thats at bed bath and beyond.

I was reading on thenest.com that they did pass the bill to send out extra money for people. I'm excited cause Daniel and I qualify for the highest amount, so we will see about $1,200 in late spring or early summer. I'm hoping he's smart enough to invest his half like I'm doing. We're getting our refund sometime next month which is a cool $4,000. Daniel can thank his lucky stars I'm in school and had a $11,000 tax credit.

Only 20 days til my birthday.... jeez I need to lose some weight!

Just got finished reading Dark Lover by J.R. Ward... omg so good! She adds a lot of contemporary aspects to her vamps so I was really pleased. I'm going to pick up the next book in the series tonight.

I still need to jump back on my novel, there's a few things I'm going to edit so I'll probably get that fixed and moving again by next week. Nothing major, just a little filler, moving everything to a chapter format and shaping up my characters better. Research from your favorite authors is a beautiful thing. ;)

Well I better get moving, I need to finish this prequalification for the state then I'll be back for personals later! :D

LOL!

We will get the "small" version of the rebate check the gov is sending out. I was reading that basically it is an advance on 2008's tax refund. Is that right? It doesn't sound right?

I'm getting that TOM feeling today and am bloated as well. I will alos use a freebie pass if I'm up on the scales tomorrow.

I hope to get on the treadmill in 30 minutes. Some please post some a$$-kicking, because I am NOT in the mood. I have four online scrabble games going, and I would be happy to stay here and play those complusively.

Sitting on that chair doing nothing but playing games is only going to make your butt wider, now get up and go work it out on that Treadmill.

That work for you in the :kickbutt: department:D

Now just make sure you return the favor for when I go home tonight since I slept in this morning and still need to work out myself;)

You evil woman ... now I went out and checked out JR Ward and have ordered all 5 of the available books from Borders and pre-ordered book 6 in the Brother's series. I can't believe you did that to me:yikes:

Now this is all I am going to look like:book2:

Of course, I can read while on the Bike:ebike: ... if I can't walk after 4 hours reading a book straight, then it is all your fault Chelle ... you did this to me:frypan:

:smug: Kelly - I love your creative use of smileys!

I'm sleepy today. Second night this week that both girls have woken up during the night and stayed awake for hours. :dz:

Last time mine did that and won't go back to sleep, I took him downstairs, put him in the loveseat sized bag on the floor in the TV/Game room and let him watch TV, while I worked out. 30 minutes later he was sound asleep and I got 30 minutes of exercise :carrot:

Ladies ... and John,

With all the talking we have done regarding the post and post often theory, I have to say out of the 3 teams ... we have the most posts (LOL). I thought you would enjoy that thought for the day.

Have a POP weekend.

I, too am sleepy today. My DD who is 21 months old has been waking up everynight this week with leg and foot cramps. So, I am extremely tired today and I just had to go pick up DS from school because he was sick. I'm telling you I just want a nap and neither one will lay down. So, I guess I will have to muster up some energy and clean the house before DH comes home tonight. My DH told me the other day he may go get me a hotel room so I could get some sleep. I may take him up on that. I did go WI today and had lost a pound. One of the teachers at DS school noticed today that I had lost weight. I must say that that felt great.

Well, I better get up and go clean house before I fall asleep and the kids are left unattended.

I could give you a huge list of books to check out... I have many many authors I

All vamp romance novels.... yummo!

I'm jealous you got all the rest of the series.... I need to go get Lover Eternal tonight when I go out.

When I get my books unpacked next week I'll make a pdf list of all of the ones I have and you can borrow some if you want.

I told Rhonda she could borrow Wings in the Night but she never got back to me... :frypan:

I was going to do personals but I got tied up in work stuff.... yet again.

I promise I'll get to them before the weekend is out... even if I have a :headache: from :hat::drinkup:

It's puppy nap time, so I thought I'd pop in to say "hi." Happy Birthday, Purple!

onthetee 02-15-2008 05:26 PM

OK, I did 45 minutes on the treadmill. BUT...

I am not typically an emotional eater, but my plans to see V. Monologues fell through, and I am really bummed and wanting wine and chocolate....

Not going to do it because I don't want to waste my work out.

Happy birthday Theresa!

Happy belated Valentine's! I had a lovely evening at home with DBF, he cooked me a great dinner. I came into work today to find a dozen roses, which were supposed to be delivered yesterday, but the delivery people screwed up - a GREAT surprise this morning!

I'm back to calorie counting, and so far, so good. I'm getting back into the rhythm of it, slowly. It's really helping me stop and think "ok, if I have XYZ, then I can't have dessert tonight" or "okay, is this item REALLY worth x number of calories?" I think I'll still be up this week from last week's gain, but I'm optimistic about the remainder of the challenge!

The BAD news, which REALLY has me down this week, is that the intro to yoga workshop I wanted to do is full. I have to wait til late March to do it, now. Blargh. There goes my plan to add something in for Lent! :(

I'd love to hear what else people are reading, aside from vampire novels! I'm all for the vamp novels, but I read a ton and need some variety!

Amy Tan: Saving Fish from Drowning
Cameron: The Artist's Way
Brooks: The People of the Book

A book in every room.

Dionne - sorry you're sleep deprived also. My head is quite "thick" at the moment...
