New to Beck & This forum
Hello all,
I've recently been introduced to the Beck Diet Solution. I've read the book and gotten the workbook. I really need to be consistent about working on the process. I keep skipping steps when it gets hard. I'm hoping this forum will provide useful structure and accountability.
Last year I lost about 30 lbs doing low carb/keto style eating. I have another 30 to go. I started weightlifting this year (and increased my biking) and have had problems balancing diet with athletic performance. Last year was easier because I didn't have to think much- I just followed a fairly rigid set of rules around eating. Now I need to adjust my diet to fuel my workouts and it is really hard! Having problems making sensible adjustments vs. making excuses to cheat on the diet. I'm hoping that working through the Beck Diet Solution will help me with the mental aspects. Reading the book, I certainly recognized some disordered thinking that I do.
