The scale surprised me today with yet another 2 pound loss. That makes 6 pounds lost since I entered the hospital on September 3rd. It brings me down to 239. Yea!! I am into the 230's.
Yesterday was crazy. I was not hungry all day and did not eat. In the evening I went with out my Son and family and had 15 medium to large chicken wings. No breading on them, they were prepared with only Butter and Frank's Hot Sauce. 1,125 Calories, 0 Carbs, 75g Fat, 90g Protein. Later I added 1 oz of Cabot Habanero Cheddar Cheese to raise my calorie count to 1235
I had a bacon, sausage, mushroom and cheese omelet for lunch and a huge (16 oz) serving of roast turkey breast for dinner along with Habanero cheddar cheese for a snack.
8/13: 150.6
8/14: 149.8
8/17: 150.4 <-this weekend's Bloomin Onion + 7 peanut M&Ms at movies
8/19: 150.0
8/20: 149.2
8/21: 149.0
8/26: 150.0<- ugh, should not keep pretzels in the house
8/31: 148.6
9/6: 147.8
9/13: 146.4 (expecting it to be higher tomorrow)
Thanks jsk77.. You are so close, maybe tomorrow!! This has been the hardest 5 pounds lose.. But I'm not giving up.. I have upped my carbs is why its taking longer.. But I'm not gaining just losing slower.. I was ready for a change.. Great job everyone...
I've done Atkins for years on and off, so I know what to expect. The good news is that my body immediately goes into fat burning mode once I limit carbs and sugar.
It wasn't easy though. By the 2nd day I had a massive headache, nausea, etc. It felt like I was going through a drug withdraw and sugar is my drug. I pushed through and also added some workouts as well. I've noticed inches coming off and not hungry. I still get tempted because I'm a sugar addict and those damn sugar free drinks are getting in the way...

I'm doing great! I'm losing more lbs and am just a pound from goal. Like you I want to get a few under goal. I'm going to be working at taking off as many lbs as I can. I'm great at maintaining within a couple so I'm good.
This is my forever lifestyle. I love low carb and feel better than I have in many years. I haven't been this light in about ten years. I started Atkins at just under 189! I've lost 33!
Greg and I are de-cluttering, downsizing, and working on goals for our future and for now. It's a great time.
How's life with you?
