oooo I fell off the wagon big time and smacked my head pretty good (not really) ....I got down to 184 but with work and the pizza they provided through a working lunch, it was downhill from there.....this am was 189 !! almost everything back, totally disgusting. I woke up, drank some water, bandaged my head, strapped up my shoes and hit the treadmill.

It's 96 outside at the moment here, heat index places it about 109 with a high of 116. Even waiting till 9 to go for my walk, it's still a scorcher out there. UGH.

Thank you for A/C John Gorrie from my hometown area of Apalachicola!!!

Well, my cheat didn't kick me out of ketosis, so YAY! My legs are killing me today. Took back up my kettle bell circuits. I hate squats. Started a Yoga for beginners DVD, but wow am I NOT flexible LOL.

I also jogged during my walk and it didn't kill me! I'm actually quite proud of that.

Leftover steak today with green beans, taco salad tonight with deviled eggs if I get snack-ish. I'm feeling pretty good right now. Still haven't seen the scale move down much or my clothes feel any looser, but I'm enjoying this WOE so I don't see any reason to quit. As long as I don't gain, I'm just going to continue on!

Checking in. DW and I have been traveling for a week from our home in Florida to our son's home in Niverville, NY. We have stopped and visited friends and family along the way. The great news is that I was able to stay completely on my Atkins Induction eating plan while dining in restaurants along the way.

We are at our son's home now so I should be able to post more often now.

I have not weighed for a couple of weeks and was pleasently surprized by a 4 pound loss!!

Hope you enjoy your vacay Larry and grats on sticking to plan while traveling! That's one of my biggest issues.

Well, I finally have two minor NSV's. Pants I wore three weeks ago that I had to unbutton to sit in are now fitting perfectly and my stomach just barely hangs over. I bought two new shirts on Sat a size smaller than normal to have something to shrink into, but they already fit. So the heck with the scale LOL.

Today's plans are:
B- deviled eggs, coffee with splenda and sugar free creamer
L - hot wing (if I'm hungry)
D - taco salad again

And I just passed up a doughnut! WOOT!

Anybody here take alpha lipoic acid? My husband was diagnosed with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and in the course of researching that I came across the Atkins site saying it's a good supplement for weight loss and liver function. Now, he's lost 30lbs in 3 weeks so I think the LC diet is working just fine without additions, but was just curious. Losing weight period will clear up his liver issue, but hey, anything to help right?

I have been taking alpha lipoic acid for years as a great antioxidant.. I did find out from hubby's doctor, it should not be taken with any form of cholesterol meds including natural cholesterol prevention. My husband takes the natural Red Yeast Rice for his cholesterol, and alpha lipoic acid is not to be taken with that.

Well, being numb for 5 hours has made eating kind of difficult today (dental work-temporary crown put in) and now that I can eat, biting down is irritating.

It's 5:15pm and so far today I've had some "breakfast balls" (bulk sausage/ground beef/minced onion/2 eggs/8oz sharp cheddar combined and made into small meatballs) and a cup of coffee with heavy cream at 9:00am.

Yesterday I made some kale chips and overdid it with the salt-oops, so I've been super thirsty but unable to drink without dribbling-good times!
