  • So I go through my whole birthday without any sugar... So proud of myself Hopefully the scale isn't to mean to me tomorrow

    Dinner- some of a smoked turkey leg , a diet coke and one piece of sugar free candy. Serving size was 3 and I just had the one. Had that been last week and regular candy the bag would be gone by now.

  • was scared of the scale for nothing... down 1.5ibs. Adding more fat and carbs seem to do the trick.
  • Just checking in... Sick past couple of days, so did not go off program, but did not eat too much... Hope scale is good Monday on weigh in.

    rpm3060 - hope you feel better. I tend to not eat when I'm sick or crave sweets for some reason either. Get better soon!

    225 for me today! That's a new all time low! And the hubby has now lost 51 lbs! He's a 1/3 of the way there now.

    Today:
    went and saw Mission Impossible, and since I was up all night slept till 12:30. We were in a rush to make the movie so skipped lunch.
    D - Outback filet mignon with unlimited garlic herb shrimp, had 2 orders of shrimp and only at half the steak, plus broccoli and salad. YUM! 1200 calories on the dot. (which holy cow, that's just one flippin meal! )
    S - eh, not hungry at the moment, but have the rest of dinner later if I want it.

    Posted the recipe if anyone is interested. OMG - I haven't even had the final product yet, but the mix tastes delicious and smells amazing baking. It's the cinnamon! I also used real key limes.

    My husband loves Mexican and we eat there a lot. Today I just DID NOT want flipping pollo loco, so I caved and got the fajitas but requested corn tortillas to mitigate the damage somewhat. 35 net carbs for the day, so not going to sweat it too much. I only eat the steak and the grilled onions, which the onions are bad but there's not much of them on the lunch portion. Corn tortillas were really small.

    It was a one time treat to shake things up a bit, so trying not to feel guilty, hence all the excuses LOL.

  • Gained a pound today even though I did better than yesterday. Trying to not let it bother me but it kind of is.

    L steak sandwich meat with onion, green pepper, cheese and mushroom wrapped in lettuce. Was so greasy so I don't plan on doing that again.
    D 2 slices cheese meat stick and dessert sugar free whip cream. I know not a meal but it was just a whatever I can find. Didn't want to dirty a bunch more dishes LAZY really

    Today was a crazy day. My husband saved a baby bunny from the cats. He wasn't brave enough to pick the poor thing up so while sitting there waiting for me to do it he got stung by a bee..full on sting. OUCh! I took the bunny to the wild life hospital. Im pretty sure hes going to be fine. He had a small tear of skin but was jumping and very alert. Hope the little guy just needs some stitches.

    Breakfast
    Scrambled eggs, 2 turkey bacon, coffee, nestle's sugar free coffee liquid creamer

    Snack.. Jello

    Lunch.. Chicken salad ( 1 tbsp) mayo on lettuce leaves , pickle.. Iced green tea with Celestial Seasonings peach tea

    Snack... Iced coffee with 1 tbsp. heavy cream

    Supper turkey burger , grilled, spaghetti squash( 1/2 cup)

    Net carbs = 20... Will weigh in today and will report back....

    I am having a difficult time with scale.. It is up more than down, but looking at everyone's daily report, I seem to be eating too much food, vs. what others are reporting.

    B - coffee with sugar free creamer
    L - hot wings
    D - chuck roast with baby spinach mix salad with cheese, cucumbers, and ranch dressing
    S - low carb cheesecake bar and babybel cheese

    I should not have made the cheesecake thingys.... Holy cow, they are so good and even at 3 net carbs, 270 calories each. EEP! I'm having to really make sure I don't go eat the whole pan. Luckily most of the carbs are in the crust and most of the crust stuck to the pan..... I don't think that affects that many calories though LOL.
  • I aim for 25-30c per day as I lose better with higher carbs

    B-Bacon and a latte (with half and half)
    L-Chicken with a salad of tomato/basil/mozzarella and balsamic vinegar
    S-peanuts and two slices of American cheese
    D-2 chicken thighs/broccoli/4 tablespoons of basmati rice with 2 T of "sauce" on it

  • I weighed in and gained 1 1/2 pounds and there was no cheating.. I wrote to Atkins and told them my situation about coming back with a 10 pound gain from maintenance, and I was on Induction and then on to phase 2. Let me see what they advise. They usually answer emails, if not they have a phone number..

    Feeling a bit down about the weight gain but today is another day, so will go from there.
  • rpm - Since you said you've been sick, I wouldn't worry so much about a gain or scale fluctuations. I know I tend to hold water when I'm ill, so that could be the case with you.

    It doesn't look like you are eating much more than me though. I've been skipping breakfast out of laziness more than not being hungry. I didn't have time to scramble eggs this morning because I had to get the roast on and didn't feel like making deviled eggs last night. But I'll eat a pretty good chunk of that roast tonight and a pretty big salad. I should probably weight my food honestly.
  • rmp- I agree your not eating to much. You look like you may be lower fat as well. I did read that sometimes you have to go back and see where your body likes your net carbs. Also have been reading about carb cycling. Keeps your body guessing and is for people with just a few pounds left to lose.

    My pound gain yesterday morning was gone this morning YAY. May have just been a reason I shouldn't weigh in daily.

    Today Day 8
    4 bacon and three eggs...usually not very hungry in the morning but was starving this morning.

    not sure on the rest of the day yet. Im completely full from breakfast and nothing sounds good right now
