  • Jess I am glad it has started back up! even a slow loss is 100x better than a gain!

    Violet - welcome!!! So your goal is quite ambitious, 30 lbs in 16 days is a little much to expect. I wish you luck, but please don't be too crushed if you don't come near that. We are of similar weight, I would say that if you are restarting atkins you will see a quick 8-10 lbs in the first week than 2-5 in the second depending on all kinds of factors. You know you own body though I just don't want you to get so disappointed that throw in the towel

    Had a big yard sale yesterday so I am posting this the morning after but this was my weight from yesterday...

    Slugger (peggy) I remember reading your posts when I first started. Look at you losing 100+ lbs.. and SOOOO Close to Onderland WOOHOO!

    Being honest with myself and you all... I have been bad and just could NOT get my act together... But I have made it thru 1 day and I feel good and dropped a lot of water. Having a personal challenge with my walking partner is changing things up alittle and I have a feeling I needed a different scene/task (Better than changing eating plans!). This has helped me focus.

    HMMMMM What do you all do, when you are just tired of the same way of living/eating/working out etc and lose interest after time (Months, days or years)? What do you change to keep your mind interested? Just wondering your tricks share share share!

    wannaskipandlaugh: I am so glad you are not quitting...I have done that and gained it all back...Many times in fact..I don't think there is any secret to it and its just a harder some days...I guess its all in convincing yourself daily that it will be worth it..Addiction is a tough thing and we all are addicted to sugar or wheat and junk foods and all the big manufacturing Co.'s are getting rich on our addictions..SAD!

  • Skip, I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. I'm glad you're back though! Honestly, I don't know what's keeping me going this time. It's the longest I've stuck with it. I feel different. Much more determined. I wish I could help with a tip. I can say just one thing though... we all stumble and fall. Sometimes it's harder to get back up than others. To be honest I've had a rough month too. I was losing so little and that had never happened to me before. I was scared because I was very close to giving up. But I've worked so hard and for so long I didn't want to. Some wonderful friends gave me support and a kick in the pants. It worked and I'm back to it again. Don't give up. Don't lose all that hard work you've done.

    Sue - Sometimes we just have to put on our big girl pants and just keep going...not saying it doesn't stink because it does but for me going too far backwards is worse!! YOU are worth it!! YOU have come a long long way!! With little (real life) support which tells me YOU have the power within yourself!!

    Still getting over my cold, husband has the flu and the dog is wearing a cone so she'll stop biting her tail - February has not been good so far at my house!! Spicy chicken and salad is on the menu for today!! Yum!!
