  • Pixi.. I agree with Lulu... We have all been and had happen, weight gains. It is hard to start again. But that little quote... fall down ten times and get up 11 times... I am just so tickled that you are here! ( I too have been somewhat off the plan since August - Lost job and this new job is stressful and I have been eating back at my old ways ((from 2 years ago)) and feel horrible. I am so glad that I came back here and posted.. It gave me strength being here with these AWESOME people!) Share the strength and stories and move forward with us all! We are all standing and intend to keep standing (tho knees buckle.. we won't stay down!)

    LULU...You gave me the great idea of getting rid of old "Too Big" clothes... I have hoarded them.. just in case.. well.... JUST in case won't be allowed to happen right?!?!

  • I'm kind of excited. I finally had a woosh yesterday and today from the New Years Eve feast. Crossing my fingers I can keep on a roll for a while since there are no family get togethers until the end of February. Great losses Pixi, Kerri and Mom2!!

    I didn't realize until after I joined this thread it was in the Atkins section. I hope it's okay that I'm not on Atkins, though I occasionally have their frozen meals and snack bars.

  • Ok another great day yesterday!! And I think baby girl is also trying to plan what she eats - she hasn't said anything to me but I can tell when her food choices were only chicken and salad the other night! I have a steady date with the elliptical!! Today eggs, bacon, salad and tuna, sugar free jello - probably sounds boring but having routine go to foods helps me stay on track! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

    Jesslan - Everyone is welcome - we all have the same goal to be more healthy no matter what the plan!!
  • lulu - I have a date with the elliptical too! In two hours... already my mind is trying to convince me to skip it because it is cold and whatever other excuse but I need to make it a habit again! Starting next week I need to be at the gym by 8:00 am to workout and shower and get to my 10 am classes, in theory it should be easy, I used to go at 6am to get to work at 8am, but getting in the habit is gonna be rough.

  • Off plan doesn't even begin to describe yesterday so back on track today!
    Day 18: 45 minutes on the elliptical - seems like the only piece I am truly committed too so far!!

    Like Jessie - all alcohol has left the building!! It's a bad choice which leads to other bad food choices!!

    Today: bacon, eggs, salad with turkey, pork chop and salad

    Alcohol does it for me too! plus your body stops metabolizing anything but alcohol when it is in you blood so anything you eat gets sent straight to storage (fat)

    Well we are 1/2 way through the week..I am staying pretty good...
    I baked a loaf of almond bread today and it came out great..

  • Happy Anniversary to US!!!! Wannaskipandlaugh on 1/6 and me yesterday on 1/7 - two years for both of us through all the ups and downs on Atkins!! I can say it is truly the best plan for me - when I am following it - committing to the way of eating - I am successful!! I was having such a pity party about my bad day I forgot about the anniversary!!

    Ate on plan 20 carbs and exercised! And today...more of the same...bacon, eggs, pork chop and salad and my go to salad for dinner!! I need a basic plan to truly get back on track - too much variety at this point leads to less than healthy choices!!

    Pixi - Thanks!! On plan, exercise and no alcohol - I should see some progress in the next two weeks!!

    -15 this morning - school delays because it is too cold for kids at the bus stop - some don't even have proper coats!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!
  • Oh my gosh... I did not even realize about our anniversaries! WELL Happy Anniversary to you too Lulu! Such travels and joys we have gone thru! and we have conquered a lot of lbs that have left the building for GOOD!
