I don't think the last one was fair as it was all water weight. However weekends are my hardest part and I want to be successful. staying strong and loving all the support, it is so nice to know I am not in this alone!!

Have a confrence 2.5 hours away today so between travel food and what ever they feed us it could be a rough day. Setting my self up by eating a huge egg breakfast and coffee with heavy cream and coconut oil in it, hopefully that will hold me until lunch and I can order smart... have a great day

Pattience.. Welcome... and Yep... This challenge is a fast one (usually LOL) and the winner is the first person who has lost the 5 lbs first! Even if its "water" as it is still weight and I swear other things get flushed out with that water! :)

I have been holding at the same weight for 3 days now.. Better than gaining and I am caught up with the other ladies in my office who are all having TOM now... so I am having Sympathy bloat (I really am.. you should see my belly and my feet!) LOL

I have no idea how or why its still falling so fast other than maybe its still water... still it feels good! Did great with no car snacks only water on the 6 hours of driving, for lunch with the others I did have a few chips and salsa and then ordered fajitas no rice no shells and only ate meat veggies and 1 bite of beans. I also sqeezed a lemon slice in my water and drank before I realized it. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend I will fight to stay on plan, weekends kill me.

Jessie, you are so close...looks like you just might win again! And you certainly can't think all this is water. :). As for losing so fast...I think that some people are more suited to low carb than others.

Sue - That is kind of amusing about the TOM cycles. Hormones are bizarre. Though the accompanying weight gains are certainly annoying.

Ali - Sometimes we just stall for a while, I think our bodies just need to take time to adjust to our new weight before they can continue losing. I'm sure you'll starting losing again soon.

Well Fri I was B.A.D. Took my daughter to the fair and I ate:

1 deep fried cornodg
10 french fries w/ cheese sauce
1 deep fried Oreo
1/2 a red velvet funnel cake with powder sugar and cream cheese icing

I was awful!

sugar and fat are my crack, meth and heroin.
I have gained control by admitting to myself that I have no choice but to swear off sugars and fats.
I have lost significant weight b/c I admitted my weakness to myself everyday. I will be humble enough to admit that I got fat and unhealthy because i can not control my desire to consume sugar-fat-carbs. So now I do not eat any of those foods at all.
My life is improved in too many ways to count.
Best of all my self loathing is diminished.

Contrary to all the advice I give, I ate almost nothing yesterday, I think I was under 1000 calories...so I gained weight. I'm pretty sure it isn't real, but I like to see the scale go down everyday. :(

wannaskipandlaugh, no I went up but I had less than 900 calories, only ate 2 meals and am PMSing bad so selavi.

MonteCristo, looks like maybe I did the same thing it wasn't intentional but now I see the importance of eating all necessary meals

love having all you wonderful peeps to be on this journey with, I am working on getting another to join as I feel she could benefit greatly from your insight, wisdom and support.

So I tried 30DS yesterday. It was terrible, I'm so out of shape that my heartrate skyrocketed 5 minutes in and I had to quit or pass out. But I'm going to keep at it, and maybe after 30 days I'll be able to finish the workout! lol Didn't weigh today, had to be at work at 5:30am (argh!) no time for frivolities like weighing! :)

Welcome Kathy, ok this is crazy, I have been eating just as I should and yet I am going up up up, the only change is I have in the past two days eaten a LOT of twang, citric acid salt to fill the munchie spots... Could this be water retention? Today I will eat none and see what tomorrow brings:mad:

Jessie, you mentioned PMS a day or so ago...I personally have a swing of about 3lbs around TOM. It jumps on 3 days before and stays about 6 days. Every single time, as regular as clockwork.

Could be the twang too. Not familiar with it, so I couldn't say if it would cause you to retain water.

I am sorry Jessie.. we had posted same time yesterday! and Yep Tom and Salt... WATER HOLDER! LOL Watch it woosh away soon... and you had had a nice drop before and sometimes (in my case) you gain back alittle to then lose again.. Our Bodies are Strange!

Well, here is what I figured out - I think my bad behavior at the fair didn't hurt me b/c I actually fraeking ate some calories that day! I had 1800 by end of day - I realized that and made myself eat more the following days and still lost - yesterday though --- I ate 330 calories ALL day, and burned over 500 in excercise.

I'm not trying to do this keep in mind, I just could not eat anything. I have felt so naseous etc - trying to figure out why - and I think it may be the new birth control pill I'm on. I have had horrible migraines with it, which have let off some now, and now my issue is I just can't seem to eat. When I forced myself too, I nearly threw it back up - it was an extreme struggle to keep it down and had to use pepto several times.

This is frustrating - so naturally I had a gain over yesterday b/c of so few calories. Just a little I know but I'm in a difficult place - eat and feel sick all day to loose, or not eat b/c I don't want to and gain or stay steady --- today is my last day on this pill then I get a 7 day break (not a sugar pill or whatever, just no pill at all for 7 days), so I'm really interested to see what happens then.

Ali sometimes you just cannot eat when you are sick to your stomach. The new bc pills could be the culprit. I hope you feel better soon.

Well I weighed and I know some is water weight. Also I have been taking an iron pill at the surgeons behest so I think it is affecting me. I definitley need to increase my fiber.

Ok, so yesterday I had 1545 calories - it was a very difficult process to eat them all, but I did. And, the scal was nice to me now lol

No pills for the next 7 days so hoping it gets a little easier the next few days. If so I'll at least know the cause and can talk to my doc about maybe switching to another one.

Well I had nothing salty yesterday and it seems to have made a diff but I did crave my twang bad!!!! All the more reason to avoid it I guess is what we learn right?

Ok this is where it gets tempting to say, if I'm going up anyway why not eat something bad!! Maybe it's the cream I'll lay off for a bit that and Splenda, only raw and natural for a bit I don't like what this scale is doing at all and I still have not started my cycle so I am like a week late now!!! Can eating this way affect that?

Only thing I can attribute that to is TOM - who has been around for about 8 days now and has been particular horrible yesterday and today so far.

I think I'm not drinking enough water. I usually try to get 64oz of water and then any other drinks I have are extra, but for the last few days I've only had about 64oz all together. And the sweeteners might be a problem too. So I'm not going to have any sweeteners today and see if it helps.
