1.7.6 today!! Yeah! Being strict on carbs and calories because I am so afraid of prednisone bloat!! Traveling today so I can't weigh tomorrow AM! Next weigh in is on Friday!! At 173 I will be back to where I was before Christmas!! Seems likes long recovery but I wasn't really careful for an entire week!! Hoping everyone has an on-plan day!! I am thankful for this success because 178 is my lowest adult weight(first time on Atkins)and it haunts me that I will either stay in the 170s or fall off the wagon!!

Lulu... its frustrating to re-lose the same lbs over and over again.... Its a challenge of our internal fortitude. Sometimes we are not strong enough.... but most of the time we are strong and resilient. Read your words on the Positive Message board (I am so glad we have this!) it reminds me all the time of what my mission is and it gives me strength! I just know you are going to do this... I JUST KNOW!

1/2 244.6 (+.8 well eh... salty BBQ Shrimp last night and leftover NY eve showing up)
1/3 (244.8 (+1.0 total) YUCK going the wrong way.. Ate salty salty salty ham for lunch yesterday... Salad today!!! lol
1/4 243.4 (-.4 total) salad did the trick.. and the 2.25 mile walk (3rd day in the row 2.25 or 2.5+ mile walks) Back in the right direction too!
1/5 242.8 (-1.0 total) Hooray! I willed it I swear! LOL Funny.. when I do believe it will happen.. it does! ahhhh my motto rings true.. I just have to remember!
1/6 243.6 (-.2) well at least I am still at a loss LOL SALTY SALTY food last night (Out with parents as they are leaving on Vaca for 2 weeks)

Good morning all! I am so excited that my scale is finally going in the right direction. It has been to long that I have dreamed and talked about getting healthy. To any that are struggling hang in there, this woe works, we just have to hang tight. For all that are losing, congrats to a healthier you.

JB congrat! your patience paid off!!!

I am starting to think that when I set a number goal my body decides to be stubborn just to frustrate me. Last month my goal was just stay on track more and it cooperated. I have been more on track this month than last and still the yo-yo-ing grrrrr

Pixikat... I feel the same.. I wonder if our bodies have "set" points - weight wise... and it rests there on purpose... But Stick with it! you WILL go down! I see you at 242 by Sunday!

Went up a pound today, not too worried because I'm still down from where I started. My goal is 320 and I have plenty of time to get there. I have discovered an amazing desert...sugar free pudding and heavy whipping cream, amazing. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Hey everyone!
I am a student struggling to be on the track of living a healthy, long life. In particular, I want to lose as much fat as possible, because I am having a surgery for a hernia in May. So for this Valentines challenge, I would like to have a "goal weight" and a "super goal weight". If I meet the "super goal weight", then I can treat myself to buying some clothes or shoes(despite being a poor student with loans). It will definitely be an incentive. And I promise that I won't try to lose in an unhealthy manner.

1.7.3 today!! I'm back to where I was before Christmas!!! But I've been here before only to ratchet up by the end of the month so I'm focused to stay on plan!!

Sue - When you have some distance from the situation, take time to evaluate the trigger and positive actions because YOU are worth it!!

JB - normal fluctuation of the scale...love your dessert!!

Unique - so glad you joined - I wish I had been able to conquer my weight challenge earlier in life!! Enjoy the journey!!

Welcome unique!! those look like great goals! I am a student too so I know how hard it can be during the semester

sue I am fairly certain they do. I remember one of mine being around 224-225, and I vaugely remember one being at 264-65 my first time through, and I remember commenting with someone else that they seem to happen every 20lbs so I just BET that is what I am struggling with right now. It is just frustrating cause I know other people on Atkins and they are like "OMG a month in and I have lost 17 lbs!" and I'm all "I am dancing with the same 4 d***it!" lol I better see a nich whoosh when my body gives in lol

Pixikat - Sue has seen me through some horrible plateaus!!(plateau is a 4-letter word). Two that stick out are around 203 trying to get to Onederland and at 193. Don't worry about other people's losses and try to compare - it just doesn't work that way. Can't take credit for this one but someone wrote "It takes as long as it takes!" I think the patience and willpower we earn and learn along the way add to our journey!! Keep up the good work!!

I can't help it, I am such a scale hopper!! But I am soooo very happy to report that the 3 pounds of holiday water weight is gone and another one on top of that!!! YAY!!!

In October I had set a mini goal to be 178 by February and I have reached it! Even though that was heavier than I had been or really want to be, it was the weight I was when I met my boyfriend, February, 4 years ago. He has seen me through multiple reconstructive surgeries on my ankle/knee, a diabetes diagnoses and a cancer scare. He has been so wonderful to me through all my troubles, I am so happy to be getting back to the strong healthy woman he fell in love with!!

Thank you, to all of you, for your words of encouragement and helpful information! KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!

Since that goal has come and gone ... and we will be going on vacation soon ... I will realistically be shooting for 175 by Valentines Day.
