Yesterday's upswing really was a fluke - no reason at all. Today's however, is probably due to two things : I had pho soup (no noodles) for dinner, and the broth was really sweet so I know it had sugar in it and probably quite a bit. That's off the list of "safe-ish" places to eat out now... And the arrival of Truffle Brie at the cheesemonger's yesterday. Delicious delicious and so special, only around for about 2 weeks, terribly expensive and frankly over-indulged in yesterday. So between the soup and the excess cheese no surprise to the the scale up. Soup is done and over, the cheese however will continue to be a challenge the next few days. We may or may not be leaving on our trip today (toddler has a bit of a sick tummy and we are not keen to handle that in the car! - so we're waiting a few extra hours to see if things settle down before leaving).

here's mine..i'm subscribing to this new thread, so i know where it is,
saraphin.

ps whoa it's the trickiest time of the year to be in a race for a 5 pound loss but i'm in it…

i made my ticker starting from the day i started - hope that's ok…

since then i've lost a point or 1/10th of a pound, not sure what you people call it…

with us it's easier because metric is all counted in tens.

anyway, there you are, and i'll see you at the end, i'll be watching!

anyone try making eggplant lasagna? I am making it for our Christmas feast at work. I figured it's less carbs than with noodles.

Smith... Funny how ways of eating surprise people (your sister). I am glad she tried the way of eating and has lost. It is always tough to get people to be open minded about certain things (diets especially - my mom has given me a hard time EVERY TIME I do Atkins and tries to dimish it and then sabotagued me... this time, however, I stood my ground and told her it worked for me.. maybe not her.. ((tho it would)) but to please respect my choice - She still says the wrong things sometimes.. but not an all out attack anymore!)

Using Eggplant for the lasagna layers sounds wonderful! and lower carb! Good for you and noone will even notice!

PixiKat... How are you doing? Down to 242's??? I wished for water whooshes for all!
