You know somedays.... You just don't lose.. No matter what you do... your body says sorry... Not gonna do it... I have noticed that alot in the months since I started. I can eat the same thing from week to week and walk the same etc and some weeks.. I just do NOT lose... maybe gain. then WHOOSH... It is just so weird what our body does.. BUT you will have the WHOOSH I Promise!!!!!!! |

Just checking in - still holding at 190!!! But I know the 180s are calling me because my 16w jeans are getting loose on my caboose!!!! Wannaskipandlaugh - you were right I was out of town - spent some time in Newport RI this week. I was able to visit some of the historic mansions with my daughter!! Beautiful and a peek back in time! Don't let the girls at work get you down - there are so many supportive people here!!!!!! Wishing everyone downdowndown - I think this is my week!!!

Smith.. I knew you would have a whoosh..! I knew it! with all that walking hard for the body to hang onto that water :) Thank you for sharing! Me... well up to 248.5 (gained 1.5 last night).. It because I had my 7 carb tortilla pizza with SALTY pepperoni.. Yikes.. but worth it.. It filled me up and I had not been filled up in a LONG time! :) Even my tummy gurgled with pleasure all night LOLOLOL Have a really fantastic day all... I have a part of DORIAN sitting over my head.. Its only over east St. Lucie/Northern Martin County so its looks drippy out there... but not raining... just alot of LOW hanging clouds... All the storm is out over the gulfstream/Ocean... :) |

I tried the low carb pizza with the tortilla, didn't do it for me. I loved the looks of the one posted on low carb meals. Yummy! My fake floor tortillas don't have the crunch. My scale is playing with me....I first stepped on it, dirty glasses and puppies afoot and it said 171. I smack my dh who was trying to shave and show him. YEEE-HAWW. So just before I jumped in the shower I did it again...174.5 : ( So that's what'll take. As soon I get back into a work schedule again I"m going to start RI30. I've played around with it a few days. it's a killer but I need to get committed. We're having a bunch over for a bbq tonight so I know the next few days are not going to be pretty. |
Happy Sunday - still at 190!! I am hoping to get to 185 by August 29th - I have a doctors appointment and I'd like to be able to say I'm down 40 pounds by then .....45 would be even better but I have to be realistic!!! When I told my daughter I was about halfway to where I want to be she said "Boy!!! This is going to take a long time" Ha!! Out of the mouths of babes!! But it took along time to gain so much and I've been carrying it for years.....so still planning on a full year to get to where I want to be.
Smith - I can't do tortillas because it will trigger me to eat everything. I'm a carbaholic and not afraid to admit it. Like Wannaskipandlaugh said - I eat on plan but sometimes my portions are too big!! My co-worker on weight watchers has lost 10 pounds in about a month. His exercise is competitive tennis - so he gets a great workout. He wants to lose about 10 more pounds!! His big aha moment was about portion size - he realized he was eating too much...wishing everyone downdowndown |

Lulu That loss is just about right! (as you were in the dreaded STALL pattern for weeks awhile back!) Just think where you will be in 30 more weeks! Living your goal weight for awhile I am thinking! :congrat: on being so determined.... It is showing up for you!!!!

I cant' believe how far you have come sue! Does it not feel great having lost so much? I took Jerseygirls advice and went back to the basics to see if they does help. I am taking Sue's advice and picking up some lemon tonight when I go shopping. I've got some edema and hopefully that'll help get rid of it. back down to 175.5....lowest was 174.5, hopefully pass that by the weekend. I've got an MD appointment next week and hopefully I can say I"m down almost 20 pounds, half my goal!! |
Holding at 187 this morning!! Walking daily with my daughter - she walks for me and I walk for her!! She is my little Jillian Michaels!! Not only exercise but the conversations are wonderful!!
Smith - I bet your doctor will be impressed. Earlier this year my doc said a weight loss of 10 pounds was impressive because it is difficult to do and has health benefits!! Wannaskipandlaugh!!! What can I say except THANKS for always being there!!! You are an awesome cheerleader!!!!! Hoping you don't have to wait too long for a downdowndown - as I really know what a pain it can be!! Hi everyone,
My name is erika and I'm on my second day of low carbing it and I am feeling very nauseated. I did ideal protein a couple years ago and lost about 25 pounds. Now I work out about 5- 6 days a week for 2 hours a day but the weight is dropping at a painstakingly slow rate- like a pound every other month? Anyways- I kept the other weight off so I decided to try this. I just think all the fat is upsetting my stomach because normally I don't have alot of fat in my diet, but hopefully this will get better.:barf::barf: |

erika...welcome! I did horrible my first week too, hang in there!! blah...up a pound!! work stress did me in this week...del taco burrito (only one) then followed by taco salad with tortilla chips. No wonder, eh? So the ladies at work are giving me guff about the nonsexist carbs in my life and suggest I eat cheerios for breakfast to bring down my cholesterol. I do not really miss bread or cereal but I LOVE tortilla chips and fresh salsa, frozen custard and really good chocolate. For some reason I've been craving pecan pie lately. I haven't had that for years!! I'm cutting back down to the basics this next few weeks. Sue...lemon water is very good! I was so surprised, much better than the flavored squirt stuff. |

Holding at 187!! I was reading some of the support threads like " I like being fat because....." and someone's signature says something like " Being fat is hard, losing weight is hard, maintenance is hard - pick your hard" It made me realize losing weight is a whole lot easier than not doing anything! Today I am really happy I restarted the journey this year!! 30 weeks in I like the changes and I am looking forward to more progress!!

Happy Saturday!! Holding at 187 but I didn't expect anything else!! So my news for the day is that I am only 5 pounds away from being overweight!!! According to the BMI calculator!! I have gone from severely obese to moderately obese and I am on the edge of just plain overweight!!!!

rough start
my first few days were good, but then on friday my mom had me come to a suprise work party that they were throwing for her boss ( and I really didn't want to go because I was afraid my diet would be derailed) and my fears became a reality when I got to the party there was booze EVERYWHERE and WALL TO WALL FOOD. And I was coaxed into having a couple drinks- I had some sugar free drops i put in water- that i added to my drinks so i thought it wasn't as bad, but after a couple drinks my will power went down the tubes and I found myself eating half the homemade cheesecake.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: ( I'll tell you this tho, that cheesecake was one of the best things I had ever tasted before in my life- It was no ordinary cheesecake- I could have eaten the entire pie by myself.... but i think the other people at the party would have been a little upset... :o)
So now I'm a little discouraged because my sugar binge pooled into the next day, and now I feel terrible. I really want to get back on track- I have a job interview tomorrow and I would like to walk into it feeling good:D:D Isn't the beginning the hardest? I'm just having a little toruble getting started I guess. I could use some encouragement and any tricks of the trade yall have :) |
OH Muay... You just had one of those days! I am so sorry... Just dust yourself off and start right back on again... Right now! and yesterday will be a memory (and don't ask for the recipe of that cheesecake! LOLOLOLOLOLOL)...
My suggestion is to drink alot of water today... Just drink at least 64 oz and more if you can... That will wash away alittle of the toxins in your body and your will feel better. Once you have seized control today... Your mind will reward you with a great feeling that, yes you have control (as best you can) and if you have that ... you are darn well the best person for that job!.. :) HUGS to you and let us know what happens! I like hearing good news! :) |
I bet you had fun!! We threw a bash last weekend, it took me a week to get somewhat under control....I'm still fighting cravings at times. Hang in there, it'll get easier!

its always sad when you can repost from days ago when you were up and I am back up again.. sigh well no crabbing... I could still be at 306 as I was 7 1/2 months ago!... YEP Just have to remind myself of my journey and accomplishments so far! I just want to move forward! Tomorrow......
