  • It was 6 years ago today I decided to change my life and begin Atkins! And change my life it did. One of the best things I've ever done!
For anyone out there thinking of doing Atkins....You CAN do this!!!
  • Wow...that's a long time without pizza and beer! Congrats!
  • JerseyGyrl, I am ecstatic for you. I am actually starting it again tomorrow (had to wait on paycheck to get the right foods in the house). The last time I did it I made the mistake of staying on Induction for 3 months and, thus, got sick of it. I am doing it right this time! Say a prayer I won't have the bad withdrawal headaches...any tips would be much appreciated! I read your posts all the time and you are truly an inspiration. Please always keep it up.
  • Congrats, JerseyGyrl! I always look for your answers to low carb questions, you've got it all in a nutshell.
  • Wow- 6 years - congrats!!!! You are an inspiration to us all (as well as a wealth of knowledge- THANK YOU!).

Hey- you should try the pizza recipe up on the recipe section- it is awesome!!! Pizza is a real weakness for me. I made a 9 x 13 pan last weekend and it is lasting several days.
  • Congratulations to you Jersey. You have taken it in as a life style! I always appreciate your posts; they are very helpful.
  • That is fantastic. I will gladly admit that you are the motivation I need to continue on. I am always grateful for your advice and your wealth of knowledge regarding Atkins ....
  • Sending a nod of respect and a thumbs up sign your way. Congrats! SMW
  • Congratulations, Kim! Six years is quite an accomplishment and an inspiration for all of us. I know I've mentioned it before but a zillion thanks for all your informative posts...it was because of your posts here that I switched over to Atkins from South Beach. For years I was one of those who thought Atkins meant NO carbs. Thanks to your posts I actually researched it and here I am. For others cruising by reading this, Atkins is so much more than weight loss...it is a WOE that is about health and eating whole foods. And health is really the important thing.
  • Kim, you inspire us all, and remind us that Atkins is a lifelong way of eating, not a "diet". Thanks for sticking around for us newbies.
I have gotten back on track again and am doing better. The weight I put on after my mother died has come back off. I think that I felt so much better on atkins that it helped me not to get too far off track. Even when I was off track, I didn't stray far or stay off.
thanks for all your support and wisdom.
  • Wow Kim, congratulations! I read your posts before I joined this forum and you have been and still are an inspiration to me.

I am still doing this WOE and haven't cheated and lost a couple of more pounds.

This is wonderful news!! Good for you!
