Hi Deena! The "primal" way of life allows and encourages many fats (butter, olive oil, avocado, coconut oil NOT seed oils like canola or soy). It is very much like Atkins except it encourages whole foods and preferably organic foods. Of course, you can "do" Atkins using whole foods.
In fact, on the "primal" thread, we have a two-week challenge going doing basically "primal Atkins induction". No one has really called it that, but that's what it is.
