Default Did I cheat? Ut Oh!

Yesterday early morning I went "Atkins" food shopping to stock up again, especially with the Snow Storm coming down now as I type this.

Well, stopped at 2 places, a regular market and then a special store that sells the freshest fish at great prices. I bought 2 Filet of Soul and they were stuffed with Shrimp and Crab. After I paid I thought about it and went back and asked the guy at the counter if there was bread in that stuffing and he said yes. I said to myself "oh no!"

I baked the fish last night and examined it carefully and didn't see much bread, it was more of a light coating of bread crumbs. So I don't know if I cheated or not.. Darn!!

Hi, Toby, it's probably okay. I mean, we are allowed a few carbs. The breading isn't the "right" kind of carbs we want, but if it was such a small amount, it probably didn't kick you out of ketosis. (Do you have the sticks to see?) If it ended up being more carbs than we think, it might make you gain a pound or two of water weight, but that will go away within a few days of being back on Induction, so no worries.

I don't do Atkins, I do south beach, but I buy these cordon bleu's that have 11 grams of carbs in them, they satisfy me AND 11 carbs isn't too bad if you are in the later phases IMO

Thanks everyone! I don't think the bread coating was too much but when I heat the second filet of soul (I was exhausted last night), I will examine it more carefully. But I must say that stuffed Filet was so good!

Beerab, no, I'm still in the beginning phase of Atkins so I'm allowed 20 carbs a day and I didn't eat any high carbs previously, had eggs and a salad.

Lori, I'm not using sticks right now, maybe I'll change my mind later, who knows? Hey, being a female I'm allowed to change my mind right? LOL!

Well, Long Island is getting hit hard and I was already out there shoveling figuring if I go out every hour and shovel, I will be ahead of the game so I won't have to end up shoveling a foot or more.. Ouch! This is my exercise for today, no Walk Away the Pounds for me today, I am shoveling away the pounds instead..

LOL, be careful shoveling! I shoveled myself in a hitched back last week and it's still not better yet. This is my first 40s back problem, I guess.

you will probably be ok but then again..I'm the one who ate the chili that kicked me out of ketosis that time :/ I love using the sticks as they help keep me on track!
