Supposedly there are many claims that a glass of red wine a day can be healthy, so that's really not that radical of an idea. If all this turbo part means is adding in more fish and being able to drink red wine a night, then I don't see the harm in it. From other sources I've read about the turbo Atkins, you get the CHOICE of drinking two glasses of red wine a night, definitely not something you'd have to do.

I personally don't see why anyone knocks the article. More fish seems ok on Atkins, so does olive oil. In the older versions of Atkins I seem to remember some drinks being fine after induction (sorry I'm too lazy to go dig out all my 72- 2002 Atkins books)

I do see the point that it is not the "original" Atkins but it is a step in a good direction and much better than a lot of the diets in those mags. It is a good step just having a magazine saying lc is healthy in my book

As far as wine goes I follow a LC program that does allow up to two 3 oz glass of wine daily. I know several very long term Atkins dieters that drink wine with dinner and have been thin for years on it.

LOL on the Tipsy-kins. That might just be on the money because I am kind of tanked after 1 small glass.

I think you hit the nail directly on the head. I agree, wine with dinner etc. is permitted on Atkins (I've been known to indulge in a glass of wine myself from time to time)...BUT, wine on Atkins is not permitted from the start of the plan, which is what I believe this "Turbo Atkins" suggests.

I think you are correct. I have the mag in my recycling bin and will check but I'm 99% sure your right.
