Angry Knocked out of ketosis (rant)

Had some chili I was told was low carb.....someone got it mixed up with the real one that was low carb yep....it bumped me out of ketosis and I can feel some water weight today. I'm not even gonna weigh I'm so upset. Will get back at it today and hopefully will be back in ketosis in two days...blah! I was doing so good and feeling great too. From now on will just carry meat in my purse and hope I dont get chased by dogs! j/k....but will just eat before I go to things. They meant well but were wrong and here I am almost starting over again.....sigh

Oh, man, how frustrating! Yeah, some people just don't get this whole low carb business sometimes. I mean it really is so ingrained into our culture that dieting means low-fat and high carb, rather than low-carb and high fat, that people get pretty confused.

Smart idea to just wait a couple of days before you hop on the scale again. And congrats for your determination to just get back on the program and put that behind you and not worry about it anymore!

Oh no! That's why I am so nervous to eat outside of my very controlled environment these days. It's all such a balancing act and it's so frustrating when one little thing goes wrong.

The good news is you know you *can* do it.

awww thanks you guys your encouragement means SO much!!!!!!! I'm thinking I'm gonna go strict with induction again to remove that junk out of my system! Oh how great I felt on low-carb....you can sure tell a difference when you have carbs: Sluggish, bloated, headache, etc.

So sorry but don't worry about it! You won't be on induction long and before you know it, you will be back in ketosis!

I am laughing at your remark about getting chased by dogs, LOL!

I am back full forward on this WOE and already the bloating from the other night is better. I really hate carbs and what they do to my body! Ok ok some carbs are good...from veggies....but I really hate the "bad carbs" ugh!

That's great Leslie! Yes, bad carbs only wanted me to eat more bad carbs, if I saw I was running out of bread, I would actually panic because I knew I needed my fix! Same with those Dorito Chips, always had to have a spare bag of them.. Now I don't miss bread or chips!

I've found you have to make the best choices you can & then let it go. If you stress about every time some unexpected carbs get into your supposedly low-carb food, you'll drive yourself nuts or eat at home 100% of the time (which isn't a way of living, it's real "diet" mentality).

I've seen several of the bodybuilding low carb advisers who advise having a one day "re-feed" with high carbs to keep the metabolism guessing. I don't do that, but I use that mentality when I've accidentally eaten something I normally avoid -- I consider that there are some experts saying that's a better way to do low carb, so I don't sweat it.
