Default Newbie here. :)

Hey ladies! I just gave birth to my third on the 13th and am ready to try the weight loss game again. I can never seem to keep on track. I gained a ton of weight (100 pounds) with my first pregnancy, and never managed to lose it all.

Now I'm breastfeeding - or at least trying to, she's a little pirhanna - and am looking for ways to lose weight and still keep my milk going. I had problems getting it and keeping it with my first two daughters.

Hi Altari! What a pretty name! I'm a newbie too, also breastfeeding my son (almost 4 months). I am going to be trying the weight watchers flex points so I can eat all of the foods I like. I haven't had the problems with milk supply, so I don't have any tips. But, e-mail me anytime if you want to talk!

Welcome! You will find lots of support here!

I'm not actively dieting right now, just letting the breastfeeding take care of my weight but my weightloss is slowing down, so I'll have to kick it up after Christmas....

Welcome! I always advise not to actively try to lose weight for the first six weeks or so, so your supply gets well-established. Just try to make good food choices. Me personally, I'm doing Sugar Busters, which is what helped me lose 30 pounds between the first two pregnancies (not doing it helped me lose only 10 pounds between the next two, so I've learned my lesson!). It's all about finding a plan you can live with & making sure you get enough to eat and drink.

That's what I'm trying to do. I had [actually, have] some issues with bleeding, and my OB has said no to any real exercise. So far as to tell me not to pick up my 15 month old (ha, like that's gonna happen). I'm dropping alot of the water weight, but I live in a house full of unhealthy eaters, which is my biggest challenge at the moment. I opened up the pantry last night, and realized there was nothing in there I could eat except pasta. It's time for a trip to the grocery store.
