Hello Ladies!

Briefly checked yesterday's posts.

Hi Lori! Glad to see you.

KT - I can't believe people walked out on John Mayer. I've been to one of his concerts and could barely make myself leave even after it was over!

Lexxy - I can't remember a darn thing from your post - sorry!

Kierie - glad you and FI got to enjoy vday despite the work interruption.

Lisa - Are you enjoying your earrings? I got bling for xmas and wore my hair tucked behind my ears for at least 2 days.

Well, not doing as well on the eating front. Not so much overeating as making choices with low nutritional value. I need to decide how I'm going to handle that. My goal for today though is to drink my water and work-out. Yesterday, we had an alarm clock problem and I missed my morning work-out but squeezed in 1 Mile WATP and 10 Minute Tone last night. This morning I did CAWT (a Firm tape) and am hoping to sneak away for 2 miles on my lunch hour. CB wants to work-out tonight together so I'll do some yoga or balance ball work then.

Let me know how you are all doing!

Hey Laura! Sounds to me like you are quite dedicated to your workouts. That's awesome. You made up for missing your morning workout.. and that's what matters.

Yes, the earings are nice... but I'm afraid to wear them anywhere. I wore them Saturday night to dinner and found myself checking them every 10 minutes to make sure they were still there.

As for WW... my weigh in is today, so I'll post the results. It could really go either way. I was a saint Tuesday - Saturday, and then splurged Sat night, so we'll see how I do.

**********OKAY QUESTION for everyone. We all came to this particular forum because we were on Weight Watchers and in our 20's - 30's. Although I've noticed a lot of us doing low carb, etc lately. Let's re-introduce our current program. And if we're still incorporating points (like if you're following South Beach but still counting points.)

Like, 10 years ago I went on Jenny Craig and paid to "join for life" so I could go back at any time. I didn't think Jenny Craig was realistic (can't eat their meals 21 times a week), and it was too expensive so I went off. HOWEVER... I recently went and bought some meals, since I was a life member just to get some variety in my diet (I found I was eating the same things all the time). So... long story sorry.

My Answer: I'm doing Weight Watchers 100% (although currently also eating some Jenny Craig)

Sorry for the long post

Don't have much time to post, but LAURA...you ARE the workout goddess and you have totally inspired me. Last night Drew and I sat down and set fitness goals for ourselves. I am going to do the breast cancer 60 miles over 3 days walk in September of 2004 (in honor of my Grandma, a b.c. survivor) and in 2005 Drew and I are going to attempt to run 1/2 of the Disney marathon. Thank you for posting all of the fitness goals you have achieved...you have really shown me how strong that you are and how strong I too can be. I'm so lucky to know you and get this encouragement!!!

Hey Lisa, we were posting at the same time. I am currently making a hobby out of eating since I am constantly hungry (but I've only gained 7 lbs so far and have only 8.5 weeks to go, so I'm living it up while I can) and after that I"ll go on to the WW nursing moms diet for the year of nursing (LoriD, we must discuss sometime soon). I think you need to post pics of your earrings so I can show Drew what you got (and maybe inspire him to great heights for our fifth anniversary coming up in March).

Lisa - do your earrings have screw on backs? Mine are that way and I can assure you that those things do not come off - even when you want them too.

Jayne - You are going to love the Disney 1/2 - it is so much fun. Sign up early because it fills up fast. Where is this 60 mile walk? It sounds pretty incredible. I'd love to see your training schedule for it. Also, why not introduce Drew to bluenile.com? He'd get plenty of ideas - if not for your anniversary certainly for mother's day!

To answer the question of the day, I follow Weight Watchers although rather loosely as I'd like to not always have to count points but maintain my weight within a 5lb range by generally eating well. I'm still learning that though.

Jayne - just checked out the website for the 3 day walk. Holy Schmoly. Am I impressed. It seems like so much fun. I'd love to do it but have no faith in my fundraising abilities. You rock!

Hey girls,

Back to work today, blech. I've made good food choices today and have recommitted to logging everything I eat. Lisa, to answer your question I am loosely following South Beach, although I have been "cheating" so many times. I like the principles of it though, so I want to continue with that. Overall I count calories. I use an online program to track everything, which is great for telling me %s of fat, carbs & protein so I can easily tell if I need to increase one or go easy on another. I used to be on WW, but it didn't work for me. I know it seems a bit strange for me to be posting in this forum!

Laura, I never can believe how much you exercise. I'm lucky if I get in 3 runs a week.

Lisa, good luck at WI, I'm sure it will be fine!

Jayne, my friend did the 3 day walk a couple years ago and loved it. Good luck!

Kierie, hmmm, wonder who gave it the name hot knockers!!!

Just weighed in - down .4 pounds... which is fine with me! Especially after having 2 buffalo fingers at the bar on Friday (but just had diet cokes, so I compromised), HUGE v-day dinner Saturday, and Dominos on Sunday (although just 3 slices of medium cheese, so that's only 9 points total). But I'll take the .4 pounds and rasie it for next week (well, raise the LOSS next week that is).

Jayne, that's so wonderful! I want to do that walk as well.. although I have a wedding that weekend this year.. so my goal is next year.

Laura, no - they aren't screwbacks. So can I get screwbacks put on them? I'm SO nervous about them I'm afraid to wear them... that sounds like a good idea. Does it cost a lot of money?

Kierie - HOT KNOCKERS??? Thanks for sharing. they sound yummy! I plan on trying that!

Lexxy - well I'm glad you post here. WW may have been what brought us here, but lives change.. our friends don't have to. That's why I asked the question.. I wanted to see where people's weight loss journeys have taken them.

Kier - I'm howling. Just howling. HOT KNOCKERS!

Lexxy - great job logging food. I think I'm going to follow your fine example and start journaling again - at least until I'm in my maintenance comfort zone.

Lisa - I don't know if you can get them added. Mine have threading on the posts to screw the backs onto. Great job on the .4!!

Well, I'm off to the gym for my 2 miles and to read my book. What a nice break in the work day.
