Question Fitness and Sciatica

Last year I develop sciatica..and very tough on my fitness path. Now my pain is on both buttocks and each morning is the worst.

I am trying to walk more,do light weights to see if that helps.

Am wandering if anyone deals with daily sciatica pain?? And what works the best to ease the pain. Thank you for your input.

Ugh, sciatica sucks.

When I had a really bad flare, I saw a nurse practitioner who incorporated naturopathic therapies into her treatment as well as modern therapies. She did what I think was called trigger point therapy and injected a few spots in my rear with lidocaine. She prescribed Valium but also sent me to the health foods store for Traumeel homeopathic pain cream and Natural Calm magnesium supplement. It really helped.

I hope you feel better soon.

I have sciatica. I developed it during pregnancy. It gets worse when I'm overs certain weight. The reason for the nerve compression varies from person to person. I just know as I get closer to my old weight it helps.
