Searching:
If you can't find what you're looking for in this forum using the website search function, try using the "double search" using Google.
1) Go to Google.com. Search 3fatchicks by using the term site:3fatchicks.com at the end of your Google search.
For example, if you want to look for "big mac in a bowl", type "big mac in a bowl site:3fatchicks.com" in Google search. No need to include the quotation marks when you type.
2) This will bring up the page that you are looking for, now hit Ctrl+F to search on that page. Type "big mac in a bowl" and all instances of that search term will be highlighted.

1) The past three days have been so crazed I didn't precisely measure out my water so have no clue whether I got the alloted amount. How does drinking less affect the system? Is it more water / weight retention in the body?
2) How in the world do you guys make the pancakes and get pancakes (with the pancake mix)? I am getting blobs of mess instead of lovely little pancakes.

I whipped 2 egg whites up until frothy, add 1/4tsp of vanilla. Fold in 1 packet of crispy cereal crushed ( crush it before you open it) and 1/4 tsp of baking powder. This makes me two medium sized pancakes. I cook them over med/high heat as I would normal pancakes.
An exciting week for me. One week from today our Artisan Market opens! My goal was to reach my target weight before opening and did it with time to spare!! Tomorrow is WI.
I bought the cutest dress to wear for the ribbon cutting.
This week I have lots of painting to finish up. 4 projects are at the finishing stages so I will need to work at getting them completed and out into my booth.
Well Here I am...its been awhile since I was on the blog..This has been one of the tuffest years of my life..we have had alot of Family issues and sickness...details aren't important..but now I have added 30lbs not taking care of me and I need help and love to get myself dusted off and back in the game..So it starts today...I've missed the blogs and I know this is how I first lost all my weight...so I'm back and ready...
I have my IP food and my book...so lets get it done..

Lots of water is just plain healthy for your body! One or two days of not necessarily getting it all in won't cause any major issues, but going too long drinking too little water can cause dehydration (headaches, dizziness, cramps, fatigue, dry skin), and can also cause your body to hold onto water weight. Just pick up where you left off and you'll be fine!
RE: pancakes, I always just mixed the egg white with the crushed cereal packet, vanilla and a pinch of baking powder. I used 6 Tbsp of the carton egg whites from the supermarket, which is about equivalent to 2 regular egg whites.
Glad to be back to regular scheduled programming this week - older DS is in school, I am back to work, and we can settle into our routine again. Last week was just too crazy on all counts.
I'm back to my gym routine this week too (last week was a vacation from EVERYTHING!), didn't gain last week at all but I'm getting the itch to move my body again Going to take a core building class today, running tomorrow morning (and a walk with NinjaNurse and Kileymed if the weather cooperates!), cross training Thursday and running on Saturday! Maintenance is still a daily effort, we ate out a lot last week so my calorie tracking ended up being a lot of guesswork but I think it worked out ok.
It's amazing how just being aware of what you are eating every meal changes the way you view food. I keep reminding myself that it's SO easy to get mindless about food again, but complacency is what got me where I was before IP. Knowing I was going to log my meals in changed how I ordered when we were out, and how I planned food for each day when we took our day trips. There's definitely no magic bullet to keeping the weight off in maintenance, just good old fashioned diligence!
Something is wrong. I went for an internal ultrasound and will get results on may 6. My weight went UP like 5 lbs in just a few days, then dropped 4 in two days then 4 back up! I am on less than 1000 cal a day... and i have non stop pms cramping and bloating. During the ultrasound i told her of my concerns and she took a lot longer for imaging. She asked me to press down on my left side so she can get a better pic of my left ovary... but not the right side. hmmm this is really worrying me.... nothing is making sense. I researched my symptoms and got these three possibilities: Ovarian cancer , PCOS, or endometriosis... have not had a bleed since jan 27th and hormonal blood work shows all is A+ with no indications of meno.......... I was at like 177 lbs and now sitting at 187 ... morale is at an all time low... I feel fat and bloated and ugly....... sorry to rant like this... has anyone else had this happen to them? how did you deal with it? thanks guys
