Hi guys.. I just wanted to share a victory that I had today. It's so silly, but something that I have been wondering if I can do still. I jump roped for about 10 minutes or so. I know I know it's silly, but I used to love to jump rope and I miss it because it's fun. Well, I went to the gym for the first time yesterday in about 2 years. I did awesome. I did 2 miles on the treadmill in about 16 minutes with an incline. So I thought I'm just going to try it and I did it. For a big girl like myself I am proud.
Is there anything you thought you couldn't do and you overcame it and tried it and realized you can do it?
Yay you!!! There is nothing silly about you accomplishing things for yourself!! I have a jumprope but I am so uncoordinated, it's more work to TRY to jumprope than it's worth!! I can't imagine being able to do it for 20 minutes, very impressive! We have to celebrate these goals we make, no matter how "silly" they might be to some. So happy for you!!
I get really excited now that I can sit with one leg crossed over the other. Like giddy excited. That and the fact that I can haul my groceries up my steps and feel exhilarated instead of exhausted.
No victories like that for me yet, but reading yours is inspirational. Actually, reading it when I was thin would have been inspirational! Thanks for sharing. It keeps reminding me that things will change if I just keep at it!
Omigosh. Jumping rope is SO HARD. I am super impressed that you did it for 10 minutes. The last time I did it, it was because a trainer made me do it and I complained the whole 60 SECONDS she made me do it!
