Default anyone giving up anything for Lent?

Please don't be offended by this....

Okay, I'll admit it, I'm not catholic, but the concept of trying to remove some temptation from my life is really intriguing, besides isn't it network adminstrators and psychologists that say - it takes three weeks to break in a new lifestyle or password?

What I'm thinking --

diet cola
any food from a vending machine
chocolate - as I'm in brussels later this month, this will be a challenge

Anyone else?

Lala: no offense taken. I prefer to do something kind for someone throughout Lent and then maybe I'll be kind the rest of the year.

Lala and Domina: No offense taken here either. I hadn't given it any thought (I'm Catholic, but not a very good one, I'm afraid), but it's not a bad idea.

Perhaps processed snacks. That would pretty much eliminate most of my red-light foods.

Hi Everyone,
I'm new here but I just wanted to say... I'm also not Catholic, but have had a mighty struggle with chocolate lately (just went off BCP and think I'm a bit hormonally charged) so I've given up chocolate for Lent.

I don't want to stay away from chocolate forever but I don't want it to be the answer to all my problems either.
