My husband left 4wks ago for a 6wk business trip. I started on my healthy eating and working out shortly before he left. The last time I shaved my legs was the day he left. Not just out of laziness, but I will have to shave less when I do start again. I drove with my kids to see him over the weekend, shaving before I left. My legs have had a total makeover. So muscular! Mostly for exercise I walk on a treadmill at a 15% incline around 3mph for an hour. I think all the weight I lost came from my legs!!
Also my car seat feels different. I'm not just a blob that sits on it. I don't know what specifically is different, it just is.
This is so exciting. So while the scale isn't necessarily moving (especially after indulging in some excellent Scotch this weekend) I know my body is changing.

But the scale IS moving!! You've lost 9 pounds in a little over a month!
As far as my "changes"--I know what you mean about the car seat feeling different, I had to actually adjust mine from all the way back to a little closer to the steering wheel and raise it a little.
I love how "easy" it is to walk my very hilly road now, when two months ago I couldn't make the 1st hill without stopping to rest!
My stomach is starting to look more like a sharpei. Not that that's necessarily a good thing but it means the fat that used to fill it out is shrinking. I'll take care of the skin later. Already began saving for the tummy tuck.
While sitting, when I glance down, there is just "less" there. Mind you, I've not lost tons, but even 10 pounds was showing. Boobs are smaller, belly is a little deflated, thighs are smaller.
I feel it when I'm moving too, almost as if I'm ... more elegant? Less clodlike?
My tummy doesn't FEEL so 'full' of fat. I can actually pinch just SKIN between my fingers now. It feels good knowing that I'm actually making a difference with myself.
You're doing great too!
Oooh, good thread.
If I've had a good day/night, I'll wake up feeling it mostly in my legs and stomach. My stomach feels flat and taut and I've just noticed that before I've eaten anything, the sides of my leg (on the outside, by the knee) have a little hollow in them. I can also tell a difference when my bracelet starts to slip down a bit lower on my arm... That's rewarding.
I love that I no longer feel my side fat against my inner arms. They no longer "rest" there when driving or swipe up against it when walking. I think most of all I love that my chin no longer rests on my neck when sitting up in bed at night.
I also like how my little chain necklace rests on my collar bones/neck. It no longer gets trapped under the fat rolls.
-My arms don't rub against my sides anymore
-I can see and feel my rib cage!!! LOVE IT!
-My shoulders look smaller
-When I sit on the toilet my butt doesn't hang over anymore! LOL
-I can cross my legs comfortably
-I'm realizing my strong bone structure in my face is coming out more! I love it!
-And the best accomplishment so far is that I can do 2 lengths of my living room doing inch worm a strength training exercise. When I started 3 weeks ago I could only do 1/2 the room!!!
I totally understand "feeling" different. I've had to start walking differently because after a couple months of incorporating jogging into my life, I have significantly less chub rub than I used to. Walking like I did before probably looks crazy; with slimmer legs I'm trying to adapt to a more "feminine" gait. Go figure.
Unfortunately I recently gained 7 of the 20 pounds I lost, but I'm getting myself back on the bandwagon here. But when I was down to my lowest weight I could notice my hip bones sticking out especially when I was laying in bed. That was such a good feeling. Well now I know what to look forward to in 7 pounds!!! Hip bones, here I come!
