Default On a Mission to dress Sexy this Winter

What kinds of looks do you think look sexy for the winter?? I'm buying some winter clothes but I'm lost when it comes to look sexy in the winter. I do not wear wool but I would like to be warm and beautiful not all frumpy dumpy. Loose Cable Knit Sweaters are not allowed in my book but Blazers are... What to put underneath though??

Where do you live? Climate makes a big difference. Check out jersey knits.
Around here we have to focus more on warm than on sexy!

I'm in CT - we do form fitted sweater dresses with heeled knee high boots, pea coats, sweaters with skinny jeans and high boots. I always feel so much more sexy in the winter than in the summer.

It gets below freezing... last year it was in the 20s... I get cold easily too! I could put under armour under my clothes!

Tights are a lifesaver, I even do cable knit if it's that cold, but with leather boots over your legs too, it's not so bad. We have a similar climate.

What's your body type? Any clothing preference?

Oh, and I agree, boots are always nice. I personally love a nice fitting wool jacket and v-neck sweaters.

Wish I could help a sister out with suggestions. However, at my size sexy is anything without a bow in the back

I live in MD, too.

I'm a 37 year old mom of 2 little kids, but I probably dress a little too sexy for my age. Not everyday, but definitely when I go out. (Ok, maybe everyday, too, but mostly because almost every shirt I own shows cleavage. V-necks are the most flattering neckline for me.)

When I "dress up" (which means when I'm wearing an outfit that I don't want to get covered in fingerpaint or chocolate milk), I typically wear a slim skirt (usually a mini skirt) and a v-neck shirt that shows cleavage. I also wear knee-high high-heeled boots. If it's really cold, I will wear tights.

I would LOVE to wear a slim fitted sweater dress, but I still have too many lumps and bumps for something that fitted.

Skinny jeans, knee high boots, tights, sweater dresses, good fitting sweaters, vests, etc. Honestly though sexy is what you make of it. My husband tells me I could be sexy in a burlap sack.

blazers are not sexy.

a dress like this with tights and boots is a sexy but classy look.

Blazers can be sexy when they are cut right lol. I need to invest in some knee high boots. I tried some on today but am not sure whether it looks good or not because of my huge calves! I've never tried a v-neck sweater with tights.... Hmmmm. I also just bought some skinny jeans that I will fit into in like 5-10 pounds. I'm a petite curvy girl! Pretty much all my clothes have to stretch some because of my curves!

I just bought a dress like that in purple for my anniversary coming up, but I wouldnt' wear boots with that.

And I agree, a blazer that is fitted with a low cut blouse underneath and skinny jeans or other such pants and boots is very sexy and more versatile.

I agree boots with a wrap dress would look great. It depends on the fabric of the dress, and style. Not all wrap dresses are created equal. I am looking for a charcoal gray wool wrap dress, black leggings and black boots. You also need to find a boot that compliments the dress. I definitely think boots with a wrap dress looks best, but everyone has different styles/tastes.

I also think a blazer, would look great with a silk cami, skinny jeans or bootcut jeans and heels or boots.

I've been afraid to try on silk camisoles. I will try it and see if I am comfortable wearing them.
