Default Your Guesstimate?

I got two of my favorite things for Valentine's Day, roses and chocolate. I eat a small, planned amount of chocolate several times a week, so obviously I intend to eat these. Unfortunately, I cannot find nutritional information for Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, so I will have to rely on a guess. So what do you think for calories and fat for a regular-sized piece of boxed chocolate? I am thinking about 70 calories?

I googled them and found some nutrition data on livestrong. It has different chocolates, but the average of the data was about 210-215 for 3 pieces, so 70 sounds right for one piece ~ enjoy!

Depends if its a truffle or one of their regular pieces. The regular assortment is 3 pieces for 230 calories. The truffles, though, are over 100 each (what are they packing in there??) and then some of their larger pieces (they make a big PB cup, big nut/chocolate/caramel concoctions...these are probably 2-3 inches in diameter) are 2 servings per piece and about 150 cals a serving.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! I had googled them, but didn't come up with any information for the exact pieces I have, but they are probably the assorted chocolates. I had one last night, counted it as 80 calories, 5 grams of fat, and I must say I would much rather eat my Lindt sea salt and dark chocolate. Perhaps I will just admire the box! LOL

I've had that happen, too ~ I've eaten something and it's like, "oh...that wasn't nearly as good as I thought it would be..." and then I'm bummed because I "wasted" those calories that could have gone to something tastier!

I had the opposite happen. My husband got me a bag of Ghirardelli Mint Dark Chocolate squares for V-Day. They're individually wrapped, which is excellent, and have calorie counts on the package. I'm having 1-2 per day as a dessert with lunch. But MAN these things are good! I know now what chocolate is supposed to taste like. The little Hershey bars and things the ladies at my office keep around don't appeal to me at all right now...

If you like sea salt and dark chocolate, next year, have him order you some sea salt caramels from Fran's in Seattle. They're mind-blowing amazing.
