Just over a year ago, at 6 weeks postpartum, I weighed 245 lbs on my home scale. I started out just focusing on eating a bit less and a bit smarter, and moving a bit more since that's what I could tackle at the time. The weight came off a little bit at a time.
I've gone through some periods since then of being really on track with good food choices and good workouts. In the spring I hit 205 and I was thrilled that I hit the 40 lb loss mark. Life got busy and I lost focus for a bit and over the summer I put on 5 lbs.
Four weeks ago I started a Game On! challenge that a friend of mine put together and it's been a seriously fantastic motivation. Eating 5 approved meals each day with no snacking has been difficult but great at the same time. For the fitness portion I did the 30 Day Shred workout for the first 3 weeks but then I had some shoulder pain this week so I switched to running.
Even though the challenge has two days left in it, I took my final weight this morning since today is my food day off and I came in at 199.4!!
This puts me at 10.8 lbs down in 4 weeks and into Onederland. My jeans are falling off of me, I have so much more energy than I did a month ago, and I'm 5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. I love it!
