Hello!

I am 35, married and with two active children.

I have (re)started running in March of this year. I didn't lose much weight at first (because I went slowly) but now I am. I have gone from 150 to 142. It is not much, but at least is going down.

My long term goal is 127 pounds (58kg, hence my nickname). Right now, I will be happy when my scale starts marking 130s.

To add some motivation, I want to run faster and improve my slow 5k time (37 and something minutes). I have signed up for one 5k in August and one in September.

My major reason for exercising is to lose weight, but I also like being able to run and have some time just to think.

So hello!

Running has been life changing for me. I definitely like my *thinking* time so I SO get that when you talk about it.

Honestly, it also gives/gave me time to dream. I would get into my IPOD music. I have all kinds of super HAWT music on there. When I first started running I weighed around 180 and it was really hard. I liked to imagine though that I was super fit and shakin' my booty on a dance floor somewhere. LOL. I found the idea super motivating.

I started trying to run around 180 as well, and I still find it hard. I've been making the intervals where I run longer and the ones where I speed walk shorter.

That's great your doing a 5k! I'm still fairly pathetic when it comes to running but it's really helped with the weight loss and I am improving slowly.

Stick around, this is a great place for support
