Question How do you divide up your daily calories?

Do you have an equal amount of calories for each meal? Do you have one meal that has more calories than the others? I'm currently on 1750 per day and my goal is to be as balanced with my calories as possible, so I am for 500 calories per meal and use the leftover 250 calories for snacks. This is a goal, but not usually the way my day goes. I try to let my activity level for the day guide when I eat my calories.

When I count, I try to have about 900 between breakfast and lunch, which leaves me 700-800 for dinner.
If I have less than 900 before dinner I'm usually famished by the time I get home and make bad dinner choices.

I am currently eating 1600 a day. I eat 1000 from 7-4 (this is breakfast, early snack, lunch, and afternoon snack). Then I spend the last 600 calories on supper and a later snack.

I'm on the SlimFast 321 diet... 3 snacks (Between 40 and 90 calories), 2 shakes (190 apiece) and dinner (500 cal)... Keeps me right at 1200 cal a day... I go over calories big time about once every other week... just so my body doesn't think i'm starving myself...

Default 1200 per day

I try to stick to 1200-1300 calories per day 6 days per week. If I work out, sometimes I am a little bit easier on myself and may go up to 1400.

I do try to divide things pretty equally between 3 meals and 2 snacks. I find that I have to eat something every 3-4 hours. So, I intersperse the snacks around that (usually an early afternoon snack and late night snack). I feel successful when my meals are 250-350 calories and my snacks are 100-200, adding up to my goal total calories.

I'm happiest if I choose foods that get me through the day with extra calories late in the day, as that is when I love sweet treats for my snacks!

My range is 1400 - 1500 per day. I never used to eat breakfast at all but I am making an effort now. My breakfast is 200-300 calories, lunch is around 400 and dinner is about 500. I even sneak a 50 calorie desert in most nights. It's a cup of sugar free jello with fat free cool whip. That leaves about 200 for a bedtime snack. I like my evening popcorn or raspberries and yogurt

I'm at 1400 calories a day. While I've heard the advice about eating 5-6 small meals a day, that just doesn't work for my schedule or my stomach, so I divide things into 3 meals and one (afternoon) snack.

My breakfast is usually 300-400 cals, lunch is 300-400 cals, the snack is 150-200, and the balance is dinner. I can eat smaller - but still filling - breakfasts and lunches because I'm really busy during the day and don't have time to think (obsess) over food and snacking. Dinner is when I'll let myself go up to 600 cals or so, just so I feel full and satisfied, then I'm DONE with food for the day. With my personality and food obsession, it's too easy to let a planned evening snack become 400 extra calories, or possibly even a binge. So eating after dinner is not an option for me. I will have dessert or a treat occasionally, but I count it as part of my dinner calories.
