Default Two Scales, Two Numbers

So, I've had one digital scale for awhile and it was decent. I bought another one because I wanted the body fat percentage and all that jazz. Here's the thing: Scale A (older one) says I'm 211.4. Scale B (body fat one) says I'm 215.

I haven't gotten a chance to do a tiebreaker with the analog scale in my mom's bathroom yet. The weird old-time doctor's analog scale at my dietician's office said I was 4lbs. heavier (with clothes on) than Scale A said on the 15th (I barely even trust that one because it depends on getting the two ends precisely center, like a balance). Back in September, my neurologist's analog scale said I was 2lbs. lighter than Scale A.

I'm more inclined to go with Scale A, not because it's saying a lower number (though that's been a big plus!), but because Scale B constantly gives me an error message when I try to get all the stats.

Scale A = EatSmart Digital Bathroom Scale
Scale B = Taylor Bodyfat Digital Bathroom Scale

I hope my ramblings make sense.

Flip a coin. Take whatever scale wins the toss. Use that scale only. Weigh at the same time each day wearing the same clothes, or no clothes at all. Do not compare scales, do not weigh multiple times.

I'd try to find out why the B scale is giving you error messages. Maybe it's broken or needs to be reset in some way.

Otherwise, I'm sure you have a lot more important things to do...

If you have something around your house with a pre-determined weight (hand weights, bag of potatoes, cat litter-because I always have that ), set those on both scales, see if they are both weighing accurately. If one's off, obviously don't use that one, if they both come out the same, pick the one that works all the time, then don't pay attention to other scales. I have a super cheap analog scale, if my eyes aren't completely awake in the morning, I get a general estimate of my weight. It is the only scale I ever use. Even if I'm at my parents for a few days and the need to weigh myself is driving me crazy, I will still just wait until I get home. I have enough to stress over, fluctuating scale measurements is not something I want to add to the list.
