Hi! Glad to have found this board. This is actually my 4th go around with South Beach. Phase 1 is always easy for me and I actually like it but I always fall off the wagon on phase 2. I think partly because I need to avoid bread/wheat and partly because I never looked at it as a lifestyle change. I'd always hear people say that and I'd think, yeah right. Well my attitude is changing and I am looking at this more as a lifestyle change now. I didn't even get on the scale every day like I did before and one day when I did get on and I was up, I wasn't even too worried about it because I liked the way I felt. So I'm hopeful right now and feeling good. Just hope I don't fall off the wagon again!
Looking forward to meeting some of you and supporting one another on what I consider to be a lifelong battle.
Current weight is about 185--looking to get to around 160
3kidsmom. This is my third and LAST time on SB. I got to my goal weight both times previously but gained weight back - clearly PH3 is my downfall. This time I plan for it to be my forever WOL, not just a diet.
Glad to hear that you are hopeful and feeling good. My advice if you feel like falling off the wagon is imminent, come here and check in and get support
3KidsMom and Moma23boys! We're happy to have you joining us here on The Beach and look forward to getting to know both of you and celebrating your success on the SBD.
