i just did the first two days and i am SORE! it is really good though, very quick (27 minutes, including warm up and stretches) and tackles the whole body. so far, i like it!
i used to do it. Up to 20 days. Didn't finish the whole thing though.
I wouldn't say that I like it. But i don't dislike it either.
Just that it's not my type of thing.
But i guarantee you'll get good work out from it
Let me reiterate that I hateddd 30DS, lol. It just got me for some reason. If you want to work hard and feel sore the next day then do this one! It worked me so hard I thought I was going to keel over and then I didn't exercise for the rest of the week because of how sore I was. I'd rather do P90X!
It's tough to start depending on where you are currently with your fitness. but if you push through the first few days - you will feel stronger faster then you'd ever imagined. I saw results, FAST. I've been planning to do it again. It builds in difficulty, there are 3 levels. You move to the next one when you're ready (or after 3 days).
It's a a great difficult quick work out that makes you work your hardest for a short amount of time. Not for everyone.
I loved 30 Day Shred! I had noticeable results, and it was great that it only took 20-30 minutes a day. Unfortunately, I didn't finish it, since I moved and ended up getting quite insecure about all the stomping. I moved into a 2nd story apartment, and felt like a jerk whenever I was doing my jumping jacks. I think that I should start doing it again. I'll just make sure to do it during the day.
I would definitely recommend it, though. Google it... a lot of people have tested it on their blogs and have posted results and pictures. Also, don't get discouraged in the beginning, because you don't really lose weight. You lose inches and tone up.
i wanted to like it so badly. I had heard such awesome things about it, I want to build strength, its quick enough to leave very little room for excuses....and I *hated* it. I just find Jillian so annoying and uninspiring that I don't want to keep watching her.
That being said, if you can get past jillian, it is a really good, really tiring workout.
I do it on occasion - just to mix up my workouts to do something different from running or elliptical and weight-training. I did level 3 for the first time yesterday and wow, it is tough. I couldn't watch the same video every day, but I do like having it as an option, and I think a lot of work out DVDs that I have tried just aren't tough enough and don't get my heart rate up as much as a I want. It is super convenient since it is short so it's a fast way to get a hard workout in. I agree with what has been said re losing more inches than pounds on it. Jillian doesn't annoy me, but I'm also not the worldest biggest fan of her. Overall, more positive than negative for me on 30DS.
So far, I like it lots! It's fantastic for those crappy days outside when you don't want to run, or if you need a little more motivation. I am only on my second day, but I usually get bored with exercise videos pretty quickly and I can tell this one will keep me going. I love the circuit training aspect of it...it REALLY makes the workout FLY BY. I did Level 1 without weights yesterday and I am actually sore. I don't want to strain myself so I think I will do a couple more days without weights and then maybe move to soup cans
