as a single professional woman in an amazing city filled with lovely people, i regularly drink 4-5 nights/days a week. thats just the way it is for me right now.
so alright. bloody marys are delicious.
i read somewhere on 3fc that a bloody mary has "400 or more calories" in it. i juuuust dont see how thats possible.
basic bloody mary = vodka + bloody mary mix. and the place i like serves them with pickled okra, green beans, olives, and a beautiful celery stick tucked in as well. meaning there actually is fiber in this drink and no simple syrup or other sneakily caloric additions. plenty of salt, but STILL.
anyone have any thoughts on this?? i guess ultimately im wondering if i can add a basic bloody mary to my "drink safe" list which is now:
wine -- half a 750ml bottle ~300 calories
beck's light beer -- ~70 calories
MGD light -- ~70 calories
vodka soda -- ~210 for a generous double
vodka (TITOS) and unsweetened iced tea -- ~210 calories for a generous double
if you can follow this... im thinking swap the soda or the tea for effing veggie juice or bloody mary mix and that couldnt add more than 100 more calories to the glass, right????
