I'm just looking for some people to chat with to help motivate me and "keep me company" through my diet ups and downs. It seems tohelp when you have people to share the journey with.
Hi Rosetears, welcome!! It definitely does help to come here and read posts about things you've been wondering about - or see people's success stories, etc. I've not been on my journey long, but I definitely credit reading and posting here with being a huge part any success. (I lived in VA for 15 yrs...love the state, so much like NC!!) Again, welcome!
Hi RoseTears - cheking these posts a few times I day sure is motivating to me, but only enough to get me started. Some people have success stories and photos that are just so inspiring - and they have lost much more than you and I aim to!
I'm just starting too, looks like we're in the same boat.
hey guys thanks for responding to my post! I definately know about how reading other posts can be motivating...i started a thread on nutrisystem and it really took off, i felt like a proud mama! haha i was on it for 3 1/2 weeks, lost 10 lbs..it was fablulous! i went off it for 3 days, gained 5 lbs back. and i told my nutrisystem "family" i was going off of it because i can tell that if i stay on it, as soon as i come off it i will gain everything back....did the same thing with atkins. i felt like they were attacking me, saying i was giving up and all that jazz. i was like wow, all the encouragement i gave them and that's what i got in return?!?! no thanks! they were telling me i couldn't gain 5 lbs so fast, but on the contrary, i was depriving myself certain things by being on that program, and as soon as my body got that stuff, it absorbed it like a sponge. and since i only had a total of 20 lbs to lose, it wasn't just water weight, the 10 lbs like some were suggesting. *sigh*
ANYWAY... i'm going to do something different now. I've heard some great things about falt loss 4 idiots from many sources and i'm gonna give it a try.
I still haven't vetured to that part of the state yet...I've lived in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chester, Richmond and now Glen Allen all since July of 2005....crazy right?

oh my goodness I know it...i love reading success stories of those who have lost a ton of weight! It helps me knowing that if they can lose enough weight to equal a whole other person, I can lose 20 lbs! I just need to have a cheerleader so to speak to coach me along .
