I've just recently started listening to music (instead of listening to the TV dron on and on) while doing cardio and strength training and I love, love, love it. It really makes me work harder and makes the workout go much more quickly. So I'm coming up with a few more playlists and am wondering what are your favorite songs to work out to?
My favs (some are fast and some are slow and some of these may date me):
Addicted to Love, by Robert Palmer
Let's Get It Started, by Black Eyes Peas
Buttons, by kitty Cat Dolls
Jaded, by Aerosmith
Fast Car, by Tracy Chapman
Put Your Records On, by Corinne Baily Ray
My Humps, by Fergie
I'm Not Ready to Make Nice, by the Dixie Chicks
Dance, Dance, by Fall Out Boy
All I Wanna Do, by Sheryl Crow
I like upbeat hip-hoppy stuff with a good beat for the treadmill, like:
Fergilicious - Fergie
Glamorous - Fergie

I got ESPN's JockJames back in the 90's, not sure if it's still in print. But that has a lot of good like dance club tunes that will keep your heartbeat at the right rate of speed for cardio.

I try to change up my music every time I workout. It keeps me from getting bored and, if it's a new album, gives me motivation.
That said, if I'm every feeling really blah and sick of most of my music then Bjork, U2, Pearl Jam, Mos Def (circa Black Star) and RATM always give me an awesome workout every time.
Funk music's also really good for some reason. You haven't worked out until you've worked out to PFunk
I'm into dance and oldies when I work out and I really loooooove, "Don't let me be misunderstood", by St. Esmerelda, it's about 10-12 minutes long and my favorite for cardio any kind, I always land right on beat, on the bike, running or stairmaster. For those of you that don't know it was in the beginning of the fight scene between Lucy Liu and Uma Thurman in Kill Bill vol. 1, the spanishy guitar riff is actually the middle of the song. Did I say I loved this tune? I like dance music, Miami Club cuts, Danni Minogue(sp?), is awesome her whole CD the Hits and Beyond, never need to change one song. I also got KC and the Sunshine Band dance remixes awesome. Oh yeah and I like jazz for my most tranquill long runs, mostly Pat Methany, Najee, Norman Brown, ect.

Reason: adding text
recently i've found Robbie Williams version of Beyond the Sea really excellent for hill running.
unfortunately i'm sooo sick of the other 500 songs on my iPod...and i just changed them three weeks ago too.
modern life is just designed to force you to spend money all the time.
