Default How about a support forum for ethnic dieters?

I really appreciate the support and fellowship I have received on the 3FC forums over the years, but one area where I feel it falls short is in supporting dieters from different ethnicities who want to diet using recipes/foods from their traditional cuisines.

Is there any possibility of making that happen?

Forums get started when a support thread or group gets so big/busy that it is burying other threads or making things hard to follow. For example, the Ideal Protein forum had so many threads, with so many active posters, that it made sense to organize them into their own subforum.

If you'd like a new forum, start a thread on the topic - if it gets busy and bustling, that's when a new forum might be created.

I've always considered one of the best parts of certain plans (Calorie counting, weight watchers, etc) is that you can eat whatever foods are best for you, including ethnic foods, so long as you track them. Maybe starting a thread in one of those forums would work?

Fiddler I've been interested in starting a thread for expat dieters, who face to some degree similar experiences to ethnic dieters in utilizing different ingredients and different recipes from the standard western cuisine. Would you be interested in combing these or do you think they'd be better served remaining separate?

Indiblue,

I think they would work very well together. That is a great idea! Why don't you PM me with some of your ideas and let's see if we can get something started.
