Still having problem. Any word on when it will be fixed? Logging on far less because of delays.

Question Not your computer

I have almost stopped checking in here because of the slow response. It akes forever to get the threads to open. What is up with that? I have broadband and it is fast....usually.

I'm so sorry I reported it to two people at IB and they assured me they were looking into it.

I'm still not getting any lag. I'm using Firefox version 3.6.8. It doesn't react the same way as IE with certain types of scripts, so I'm guessing that's why I'm not experiencing the same problem.

I also checked out the site using the Google Chrome browser and did not experience any problems.

Yea definitely a lag here also. I've stopped logging in the last week because of it. Very annoying! Hopefully it'll be fixed soon!

First visit to to 3FC in months and incredibly disappointed in the lag time. Glad to know it's not just me. Will check back in a few days and hope that the problem is fixed.

Getting major lag here too. It's been helpful to push the red "X" next to the search bar after about 15 seconds of it "thinking" and it seems to go right to the page 90% of the time. Very irritating!

I joined just a couple of weeks ago and I just thought this site was r-e-a-l-l-y slow. I couldn't figure out how some of you had the time to get to 5000 posts! Hopefully it clears up soon, but until then I second goodnuff's suggestion of hitting the red x to stop the process. I discovered by accident that it will immediately take me to the requested page and I don't even wait 15 sec. I hit the x after, like, 1 sec and it works for me.

Those of you who are experiencing bad problems with this, are you trying Firefox? Other members said it took care of the problem. I use Firefox all the time and I have never experienced the lag you describe. I've used it for years because everything on the net is faster with Firefox. Plus it's safer, IE is a security risk as well as being buggy and clunky.

Just a suggestion

We shouldn't have to change our Browser to get this problem fixed. The has been going on far too long. I have no problems with other sites so you have a problem.
