One hour on the bike, 10 km (6 1/4 miles). J (the husband) pulled the toddler-containing chariot to the beach, I pulled it back, meaning I got the uphill part. Whew!

An hour walk with munchkin in a stroller. But the hour also included some play time at the playground. :)

Yesterday: 30 minutes of walking and 90 minutes putting a second coat of paint on the bathroom :)

I got in just under 7.5 miles on my bike this eve.

70 minutes on the elliptical. Burned 760 calories although I've heard (and believe) that elliptical machines severely exaggerate your effort!!! :(

Tuesday: 30 minute walk, 60 minutes aquacize

Tuesday:
30 minute walk at lunch time
30 minute walk after work

A mere 3 miles on the bike yesterday. But over half of it was a constant uphill climb that left me red & panting.

Stott Pilates Videos

In case anyone is interested, Stott Pilates has a lot of their vhs tapes on half price for the month of May. I purchased two and they were Cdn$9.98 each, plus Cdn$5 to have them shipped. They are tough and amazing and Stott are really world leaders in training pilates instructors. I already had their intro mat workout tape, (which is not on sale), but I bought a stability ball video & a flexband video. (I already have a flexband for another workout I own, and I've had a stability ball for years but have never used it to work out. Isn't it just a spare fun chair for guests?) If anyone's interested I'll let you know what I think of the videos once I've done them. But the mat video is tough but amazing & it's done by the owner of Stott, Moira Stott-Merrithew. She puts a lot of effort into making sure you cannot strain or hurt yourself by not being in the right posture - something missing from most of the other tapes I've done. (I recommend "Pilates on the Go", although it's really meant for people who take pilates classes and then want to take a tape away while they travel. The gaia tapes are fun, but I don't think enough is put into making sure someone watching it is doing things correctly). stottpilates.com

Just my normal lunch walk yesterday. Evening exercise consisted of cleaning and decluttering. Not at all aerobic, but it's satisfying to have things nice and shiny ;)

2 miles quick & hard on my bike today. Went to a tasting. Don't even ask. :hat: quickly became :nono: In my defence there was a huge aisle devoted to cheese and I completely avoided it. Not much, but all I got.

Same 70 minutes on my elliptical today. But it's getting HOT out here in Los Angeles, mid 80s! Woohoo! So I'll probably be expanding my workout to the great outdoors! :)

Way to go exercisers :bravo: Keep up the good work! :tread:

Last night I belly danced for 1 1/2 hours - phew!

Tani 05-13-2005 10:03 AM

Yesterday: 30 minute lunch walk and then 45 minute balance ball routine (because I got home too late to make my aquacize class)
