Chervata,

Your cut sounds so CUTE!!!! I keep toying with getting layers cut in but am afraid I couldn't handle the maintenance.

Tiki.

Hi girls!

Cheryl - sounds super cute!

Tiki - I love my layers. I find it less maintenance because it dries faster and I can get that sexy "just rolled in the hay" look very easily.

I was soooo motivated yesterday. I watched some show on redecorating using only swap meets and yard sales (I forget the name) and I loved it. So inspiring! i made the Cute Boyfriend get off his butt and help me clean out the kitchen cabinets, give away a bunch of crap (who NEEDS three tea kettles? were they backups in case I need to make tea for 50? I'm an american and I don't own a single coffee pot???) and rearrange the shelves and counters so that we had more room. It must have inspired him because when I quit, he went back to bake some bread. How rare is that!

We also made reservations for our trip to Washington DC. We're spending 11 days in the beautiful city in march. I can't bear to think about leaving my dogs in a kennel for 11 days (with a bill of around $700) but what's done is done. I could leave them with my pet sitter for about half the price but around day 5, Keiko starts to get destructive. I think I'm paying for my peace of mind.

Anyway - off to class. Sigh.

My weekly (or so) fly by -

Hi Ellis, Den, Mauvais, Jessica, Tiki, Hannah & Ruthxxx (if you are lurking)!

Teufelchen, Chervata & Morrganna - when did you 3 pop back in here? Welcome back!

Happy Valentines Day Chicks!

About 3 more weeks and I won't quite be so busy. It is all work related now. Long days and by the time I get home and don't have to log in to work from home, I just want to sleep. I have started using my mini-cycle-thingy under my desk at least... Good news is my hard work is paying off so far - awesome yearly review, and I knew a few people who's opinion I care about think I am doing a good job too. Now if I can get the boy to stop having mood swings so I can figure out where his head is at, I would be all set.

Miss you all!

Reading this now, I feel bad since I haven't jumped into the Feb challenge, I've been following my program at home & I had gained weight before, but am back down to 191. I turned 21 on 2/5, and I had to go out of town. On 2/8, When we got back, my bf went on a biz trip and will be gone til this coming Fri. Its different having to manage the house & stuff with all the stuff I do normally. I have still decluttered, and man it does feel good! This quote was sent to me yesterday & I thought I'd share:
Sometimes you've got to let everything go—purge yourself . . . If you are unhappy with anything . . . whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you'll find that when you're free, your true creativity, your true self comes out.
**Tina Turner
~Sound familiar? I also have been going to the dentist bc I need my wisdom teeth out. I'm kinda scared, but this hurts already, so I will grin & bare it. Have a great day, all!

Tiki-They had a blast! they were on the shore of Lake Huron, and lit a fire on the beach. They saw the water edge freeze up as it got colder, and listened to the sound it makes. DS18 said night wasn't bad because the wind blew out towards the lake. In the morning, though, the wind blew IN from the lake and they were freezing!! They packed up and went to a diner for breakfast!!! I agree, it was REALLY warm last weekend!

Chervata and Jessica- I NEED layers!! I have natural curl (or wave) but my hair is so fine that if I wear it all the same length (or too long) it just weights itself down. A little layering and it starts to curl a bit!!

Squeak-HI!!! Hope the boy chills out!! I have been moody myself lately though, so who am I to talk?!?

Kelli-Good for you for decluttering! That is something I REALLY need to do!!!

We got a new cat on Sunday! I was hoping to have some pictures of him to post, but I haven't been able to borrow a digital camera. He's a grey tabby-point siamese. His current name is Zen, but we may change it to Ender (after the Orson Scott Card character). He's 6 months old and his paws are huge, I think he's gonna be a big guy. I swear, sometimes I think my DBF and I are crazy for doing all the things we do. This month we're moving and we got a new kitty and I'm still working on my MA paper and teaching a class. Well, never a dull moment!

Ugh, had molars out this morning, and thank goodness for Vicoden. I'm taking the minimum dose bc I'm not one to want to be incoherent, even if I have to put up w/ a lil pain. I got some awesome tea delivered from adagio.com, the tea site that adverts on 3fatchicks, and I had to get the herbal starter set. Knowing NOTHING about loose tea, this lil pot did everything for me, it works perfect & the tea tasted sooo good, (and I'm not a tea person). Just thought I'd share since I'm so impressed w/ it. Also, on Friday I am starting the magazine Self's fitness challenge & I am sooo excited. I have literally scheduled in the weeks workout times & will be working on a menu tomorrow. If you want to check it out, the whole plan is posted on the website self.com, and anyone who is/will be participating, drop me a line, the more buddies, the better! I hope you all have a great week.
